Sorry I know this thread is basically dead but does anyone still watch her tiktoks? I really don't know what to make of her content now or where she seems to be going with it
Yeah,I still watch her once in a while. She‘s published a book which is unsurprisingly a study guide. Her tik tok is a mix on monthly updates and random stuff. She also showed off her english on tik tok ,where she got a lot of praise from the german community that they love her British accent.

Yes, i saw that too! Definitely interesting how she's seemingly still building that "influencer" brand in German(y), but also working a "real" grad job at the same time (I think? I'm fairly certain she mentioned it at some point but her content doesn't show it so idk, although I guess she's probably taking time off recovering from her surgery?)

I haven't watched yet but she's uploaded a YouTube video about why she stopped uploading

It's giving me hustle culture self-optimization vibes. I know she's saying it's impacting her quality of life and work also gives people something to do so it's not all "grindset just push through" obviously, but if you can't even sit and have to work lying down...maybe the conclusion isn't "I need to develop a thicker skin". I'm also kind of confused because a tiktok of hers just showed up on my fyp today (talking about work outfits) that made it seem like she works in-office full time and here she says she can hardly leave her apartment and can't drive to work? But I might've misunderstood the situation idk, maybe she just wfh
Although even with wfh it's crazy to me that she seemingly didn't really take time off work? I'm sure she must've for some of it, at the very least when she was in the hospital obviously, but she says in the video she was working from home in bed during the time that she was in so much pain she couldn't even read? Like, girl, *any* doctor would put you on sick leave (? "krankschreiben" in German/in the German work/healthcare system) in that condition

I lost track when she suddenly stopped posting content in English and switched to German content on Instagram despite most of her Youtube audience being English speaking. I mean cool, she's allowed to post in German but I remember at the time she had quite a following for her Cambridge journey and then she suddenly stopped the vlogs in English.

I hope she's doing okay though, her health issues sound painful.

She kinda blew up on tiktok in Germany, even when she made content in English on there, so switching that to German made sense to me - considering she is in Germany and had/has a mostly German audience (on tiktok), it's probably easier to get sponsorship deals if you make content in German. Her ig and yt just followed suit because her tiktok was most popular, or at least what she wanted to do most (?). I still think she could've gone about it differently though, like telling her English language audience more of what made her make the switch/what was going on!
