I decided to get a conch instead as I've never gotten a cartilage piercing before and it was recommended by my piercer to start from there but honestly getting my leg hairs done via laser treatment was a lot more painful than my conchJust keep on top of cleaning it and try not to lie on that side for a while. I was considering an anti tragus last year, but couldn't find one positive experience of getting one online (youtuber Roly West did a video about it being his most painful piercing and he has EVERY piercing!Thinking about getting another conch and possibly an anti-tragus at the end of the month/early next month (one of the other piercings that seems to be of a similar pain level apparently even though it was really a breeze for me getting my first conch done) before I go on my solo trip
I am getting that daith, even if it means it will inhibit me from completing my 100k+ minute streak on Spotify at the end of the year unless I get headphones![]()
Successfully healed tragus, conch, rook, but I've never had any luck with lobes! Seconds never healed and firsts always get irritated! Sorry no help, but you're not alone with sore lobes! My 2nd lobe piercings have suddenly started playing up after 4yrs. I've always worn same gold in them but all of a sudden they have become swollen and sore. It's odd
I can never wear heavy earrings for too long. Always end up taking them outHas anyone experienced pain when wearing heavy earrings?
I've recently swapped my faithful huggies with some heavy(ish) dangly earrings and the pain from one lobe in particular is so bad! 🥲 I love them so much and want to wear them. The pain was pretty much instant and I managed to tolerate it all day but I had to take them out for the gym because there was no way I could've run on a treadmill with them inDoes it get less painful with time? Or should I just accept I can only wear them in short bursts?
Not really but for the most part I take them off when I go asleepHas anyone experienced pain when wearing heavy earrings?

They're about 3 years old so definitely not fresh. I've only ever worn studs or small hoops though. Not really but for the most part I take them off when I go asleep
Maybe it's the material that it's reacting to? Was it a fresh piercing/repiercing?
My septum is by far my favourite of all my piercings! I've got both nostrils done to, just to make it even ha haAll of a sudden I'm tempted to get a septumI've had my nose done before but it was a long time ago LOL
Have you tried support patches? I always use them when wearing heavier earrings and find them really helpful. They're about 3 years old so definitely not fresh. I've only ever worn studs or small hoops though.
It feels more like a weight related pain rather than a reaction to the metal. Also the pain is only in one lobe, the other seems fine!? Hopefully if I persevere it will get better with time!![]()
