I was thinking of drinking on Paddy's day but as someone said it's not the same this year so not much point. So most likely won't bother all month.

Thanks so much guys. You are so and so amazing and I am so happy to have found you. I wish I stopped hating myself so much and stop being such a perfectionist.
I’m missing gyms so much and found this lockdown to be much tougher this time.Nothing gives you more endorphin than good old barbell or ass kicking HIIT class. Not long now. 😘❤
I miss the gym too! 💔 that’s my problem too being a perfectionist. Once I’ve fucked up though I struggle to pick up the pieces!

Bumped into my friend earlier as I was turning into his road and was actually so glad of the lockdown. He is a terrible influence 😂 ordinarily if we bumped into each other early evening we’d be down the pub in a heartbeat and I’d not be home until hours later then be sick in my waste paper basket whilst wondering wtf had happened (that only happened once btw 🤣) was such a relief to have a brief chat through the car window then be like ‘BYEEEE’ 😂

I have had 3 alcoholic drinks in total for 2021 and feel so much better!!! It will be challenged for sure once we start socialising again...but I have at least found some good alternatives.

LIDL schloer is my fave and only 99p. Satisfies my sweet tooth as I always had very sweet wine spritzers.

I think I’m back on it this month. Is there anyone who has stayed sober all year so far?

I have drastically cut down since January. I feel much better for it especially the morning after 😨. So here's to a hopefully dry April. I'm doing some more fitness stuff as well.

Hi everyone. Well done everyone for being so amazing this month.
Must admit this March wasn’t dry for me at all but nowhere near as bad as it was last year when we’ve entered the first lockdown. I would like to keep going though. What do you think about Dry April?💙❤

You are doing amazingly well @SpiceWeasel well done for thinking things through before just caving and drinking to oblivion!
Thank you so much ❤ That’s exactly it, just drink to forget what’s going on but then it feels even worse the next day! If we get super positive news was thinking I may have a drink to celebrate, as it will be a huge relief. Having said that I’m worried it won’t just be that one day and I’ll just end up snowballing. I can’t be bothered with the hangover either! Also was getting a bit ahead of myself, it’s 20 days of lent today not 21 😂

Is dry March a thing? I've been going "dry" since 2nd January. I did dry January last year, but this year I thought I'd see if I could hold out longer. It's easier with the Covid restrictions and pubs being shut. At this rate I think I will just wait until the pubs reopen. 🙂

I've still used wine in my casseroles, but that doesn't count right? 🤣

I was toying with having a drink for St Paddys day next week - I have a couple of days off work but I don't know. I've only drank once, for Valentines, since New Year. Will definitely be having a drink for wedding anniversary towards the end of the month - as I really thought we'd be able to at least go to a restaurant by now but oh well!

Happy Friday! Well done for sticking to your guns! Chinese sounds incredible, bet it was amazing! You deserve a treat - even in lent 😉
Thank you! The Chinese was actually exceptionally good last night and there’s some left in the fridge I’m gonna have for lunch 🤣 we live less than 100m from it, not good!!! 😂

Bought lots of kombucha and coke 0, absolutely love it. @SpiceWeasel, you are doing marvellous. Our Bin was completely full this week, mostly soft drink cans, but few wine bottles from my last weekend binging too. I had to sneak few into my neighbour’s one. He’s moved out and we had an agreement we can. But gosh, how embarrassing 😳

That's so thoughtful. I bought the M&S 0.5% red wine. Don't bother! Smells like vinegar & doesn't taste much better.
The Erdinger 0.5 is lovely however, really recommend.
