I had a can of raspberry mojito on Mothers Day and felt totally satisfied with just that! Another booze free weekend for me ahead.

Loving coop 0.5% alcohol Sauv Blanc as it has just that slight alcoholy taste like wine. Also whoever recommended the Crushed Mint Robinsons cordial, omg I mixed with lemonade and loads of ice and it tasted just like a mojito! So will probably have that at some point too :)

I tried doing dry Jan and lasted 11days, however since lent I’ve only had one evening of drinks and I can whole heartedly say I actually didn’t enjoy it 🤣 woke up the next morning with that horrible clouded head feeling and was so unproductive the day after. I actually do not miss it and I’ve just stopped buying wine in and I feel a lot better in myself mental health wise too.
In December I was gifted quite a lot of alcohol through work, so I drank like a fish and I genuinely think I drank myself to the point where I no longer want to drink🤣
I’ve been trying to lose some weight too. Not having alcohol is definitely helping

Must try that Sauvignon, it’s my fave. The trouble is it might awaken my alco tooth. I’m trying really really hard. ❤

Well done everyone 💙❤.
So amazing to hear that it’s not just me who usually downs a bottle or two each weekend.
And it’s such vicious circle, because it affects my exercise routine and then I feel disappointed and after I’ll eat/drink away my sorrows and then the cycle starts again. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Still going! finding it harder now on last shift of the week as works getting more stressful with Covid rules it’s making everything so much harder to do for last minute things So getting more stressed.

But I’m really hoping I keep drink free as if I can on June 1st I’ll be 150 days drink free!

Officially half way to Easter Sunday today! Hoping the second half goes a bit quicker cos I’m starting to feel a bit like I’m in the desert 🐪😂 got a bottle of Nosecco in for the weekend. Our recycling bin blew over last night. That would never have happened if it was full of empty bottles not just cans and milk cartons 🤣🤣

Hey guys, I still haven’t been drinking and honestly haven’t even thought about it. I’m on antibiotics at the moment anyway and I’m also trying to lose the 100lbs I gained last year and I was pleasantly surprised today to see that I’m almost a quarter of the way there! I did start running again but then I got ill but I’m hoping to go out tomorrow.
I am loving the clear head and my mental health has never been better and I definitely think not drinking has contributed to that so I don’t plan on drinking any time soon. Maybe on my birthday or something but that’s a while away yet so we will see!

I’m up for ‘Dry April’ 😊 still stuck to Lent which ends on Sunday so it’s been just over 6 weeks now, can’t believe it! Tbh I’ve not been feeling great, got a terrible sore throat caused by GERD and even drinking water is painful, I was really looking forward to toasting the end of Lent but I won’t be at this rate because I don’t want to just for the sake of it if I’m not really going to enjoy it! So annoying 😂
I go back to work next week which will be a proper test, my job is quite stressful and often my downfall. I’ve said I’m not bothered about going to the pub if it’s outdoor only. None of the pubs near the house are bothering opening until May anyway as they don’t have the capacity. I would go to the micro brewery up the road as like to sit outside there as there’s a landing strip nearby which is fun to watch but it’s only open on weekends anyway.

It’s nice checking in with everyone on here 😊 we’ve all done great! Imagine last year thinking we’d all have had so many days off the sauce. Madness!

morning, alkies 😂. Although the only one in this thread right now is me. Everyone’s done so well. I am ashamed to admit I’ve relapsed in my all or nothing style, and drank throughout the whole weekend. and of course the rest has followed: feeling guilty, fat, emotional etc. I’m posting here, because you lot never judge and support. Onwards and upwards, I’m back on track and back to my gym ( aka garage). Weightlifting has been my saviour. I’m feeling better today. Have a nice day guys. Sun is shining here in Essex. Who needs Maldives for ffs 😂 💙❤

I’m still in! Day 60 today. Thought I would keep going for Lent but March 29th might have to be the finish line if the England road map is going to plan...

Lovely to read everyone’s updates 🥰

Still going here with Lent! It’s 31 days today so feels like Easter Sunday is in sight now. Feeling really good and proud of myself. I’ve been so boring and haven’t even had any replacements this time round other than the Aldi cucumber & mint tonic! They also have an elderflower sparkling water in the special buys at the mo which is nice. I never even opened my Nosecco last week 😂 looking forward to having a drink but also scared at the same time 🤣 I have been keeping up properly with my fitness and would love to say I’ve lost weight but really struggling to shift it still - defo doing better than if I was drinking though cos I just have no off switch with food either when I’ve had a few.

I’m also still going. I don’t think people believe me when I say I haven’t been drinking or that I have gone off of it 😂

I may feel differently about a nice pint of aspalls in a pub garden in the summer though!

I find the app really helpful for the way it phrases things, a dry day is great but a reduction as a general trend is also a big step that takes commitment and hard work. A bit of drizzle in amongst the dry spells!

I have planned a few social things to do from next week now we can have two households in a private garden. Bless, my bestie who I always get drunk with messaged saying "what shall I bring, if you are still not drinking do you want some 0% stuff?" and I realised what great friends I have that there is no pressure there to drink
That’s so thoughtful unlike my mum who makes comments about me not drinking like I’m being antisocial/ungrateful 😂 I’m kind of not drinking to support my dad now who is a habitual early doors kinda guy, he’s recovering from an op so staying off the beer to aid his recovery.

the time since 17th Feb has flown by! Can’t believe this is the last full weekend before the end of Lent! I’m happy to say I’m back at work after Easter so looking forward to starting it with a fresh mindset 🙌🏼 Will be having a drink Easter Sunday but nothing silly as my boyfriend is working the next day anyway!

Me too! Had some other health stuff going on (nothing serious) which has made it even easier in a way because it’s one less thing for my body and brain to contend with. Back on the crisps though 😂

I’m going to keep to my goal of ‘cutting down’ as much as possible I think as it’s my birthday in April so I know I won’t stay completely dry. I had 6 days I drank in March (but only 1 or 2 on those days not excessive) so chuffed with that really as I only thought I’d do dry jan and leave it at that. Happy to be involved in a dry April chat though as it’s nice to keep motivated and check in with you all.

I haven't had a drop since New Years Day but I'm now in this weird zone of - so am I never drinking again or what?

Maybe when humans are allowed to interact again and we can all come out of our bunkers I will go back to it. Well done to everyone that reduced their intake or quit altogether for March! :)
haha I know that weird, Inbetween feeling. I’m at that stage too but I may have a cold pint of cider in the sun with friends when I can. We’ll see.
