This reminds me of the time a French news channel (that aired in Egypt) briefly mentioned her/her book. She tweeted she was being talked about in “regions of Africa.” I remember some GCs joked about her not calling them African countries (as opposed to regions) and she blocked them. She wasn’t even tagged in the conversation so God knows how she found it.
I saw the GP comment. Nearly commented that they must’ve missed a lot of reading if they think this is new news. Most who actually speak to people in this area are highly aware. It’s everywhere. Cmon Sally Ann doesn’t even understand basic law. She gave her consent for her story to be out there. Once you do that it’s anybodies. Then she outed herself on Twitter… but sure she’s been exploited by Jess. Quite clearly there an agenda

Really that’s your take on it??? A woman who trusted Jess to write a BLOG then finds her stuff is in a book without consent a few years later. Jess gaslit everyone for several months messaging people who are strangers to her with private information about SA accused her of harassment and stalking behaviour which was debunked as well. Said police had warned her again lies. Denied she was in the book yet it’s been proved she is. Let’s not forget SA isn’t the only woman in the book without consent. Publisher has admitted they are in the book and told them no permission was needed as no identifying features yet it was friends of both women who recognised them so another lie from Jess and her team . The consent you speak about in relation to SA was from a woman in a vulnerable and distressed state a number of years ago in an email. Not an ethical consent form. No follow up to ask if it can then go in a book.

Hey Mandy, given that you’re so close to your wonderful Daughter In Law, maybe you can ask her to see the permission form from Sally Anne? The one she should have had signed which explicitly allowed her to use the story, and withdraw her permission at any time.
There’s an important distinction that you’re missing, between consent and ethics. Jess has failed to adhere to the standards of empirical academic research by utterly ignoring the issue of ethics. Consent alone isn’t enough to meet the standard for inclusion in research. She should know that.
No she won’t understand basic law, why should she? because she’s not a professional, she’s a vulnerable victim and Jess has a duty as a professional to make clear and provide information where a ‘story’ would end up?

What agenda could there be? SA is not a professional, no large following when she first tweeted, it seems her followers have only grown since this. said on her Twitter her job isn’t in MH, there’s no competition or anything to gain for SA here…
