Lurking here and then going off to make multiple posts about how she's so much better than her "haters", how she is engaged in such deep political thought she doesn't even think about the "haters" (except when she's obsessively posting about them), and how the "haters" are just jealous of her amazing success anyway.
Her whole brand is built on the idea of herself as a lone warrior for truth. Even before she was publicly challenged over unethical conduct she was constantly regaling the internet with improbable stories of how people were out to get her, featuring her as the determined underdog who won in the end. She needs her fans to buy into this "Jess against the world" fantasy, but I don't think she was expecting people to raise actual legitimate concerns. My gut sense is that she was shocked when Sally Ann and Rosie came forward and until then she'd thought she was untouchable.
I met another woman who was included in the book. She hasn’t spoken publicly about this. In fact I’m unsure who else even knows.
She confided in me as she knows I work at VF. I was absolutely shocked. She is a woman with considerable means and incredibly ethical. I do not doubt for a second what she has told me. I now won’t re read Jessica’s books in case I recognise her. This would feel like a huge violation of her privacy.
It speaks volumes that even a woman in such a relatively strong position feels she can not even engage with what has been done to her. It is too retraumatising. Something that she couldn’t do without the support of her partner, who she has never told.
No wonder Jessica thought she had hit a home run. If nothing else she knows she can bet on women’s silence.
Everyday I think about the strength of Sally Ann. The way she has spoken truth to power. The way she has stood her ground. That despite the personal cost and enduring targeted abuse. She really is inspiring.

Sadly I’m not surprised. There are a number of women who have recognised their life experiences in her books without consent but don't feel able to come forward. JT is a monster and is no better than the abusers who abused the women who’s trauma she has appropriated to line her pockets. While she’s bragging about weddings and holidays paid for with her ill gotten gains these women are retraumatised by her and left to pick up the pieces. She makes me sick to my stomach.

She says she doesn't want to affect people's benefits, but clearly doesn't know how benefits works as a lot of what she says is common myths around them by people that haven't been on them (at least recently).
I think she also thinks people should be grateful for it. The volunteer research positions should have been paid, she had the means to pay them and they were highly qualified (a lot more qualified than Jess). She picks people to work for her who are desperate for the money or are such super fans they'd work for next to nothing. Also, I think a lot will have gone to work for her for next to nothing because they truly want to make a difference to the women and girls experiencing male violence, and she takes advantage of that.

Jessica is obsessed with making sure that we don’t talk to ex staff. Either her, or Jaimi will send texts out of the blue enquiring if we are ok. Often under the guise that maybe we have been a bit quiet ie not joining in with the performative circus of brown nosing Jessica or joining in with the latest witch hunt. Generally we are then asked directly if anyone has been in touch.
jessica and Jaimi will both tell barefaced lies to illicit information as well as not so veiled threats around ‘compatibility with VF values’. I have witnessed her directly state things that I know not to be true in order to coerce information from others.
if only they spent as much time and effort in actually doing some work.

Wow, she is ready to single handedly take on the DSM. Her arrogance really is quite scary.
That is terrifying
I’m probably talking rubbish, but surely a battery of tests must already exist or how could the DSM have documented the conditions.
Not to mention quite abusive of anyone who might take part in her little thought experiment (even if informed consent were obtained)
She would meet the criteria for SO many psychiatric disorders. Funny, that.

Anyone with even a basic knowledge of psychology and the DSM is aware of it's shortcomings.
It is always going to be challenging to produce a diagnostic manual or a set of symptoms for concepts as intuitive, subjective and culture-bound as psychiatric conditions. Literally everyone in the field is aware of this.
Reliance on the DSM is much greater in America due to their healthcare system and need for a diagnosis (or multiple) to qualify for insurance and therefore treatment, but as far as I'm aware doctors aren't routinely flipping through the DSM in the UK whenever someone walks in tbe GP surgery feeling anxious or depressed.
How else can psychological symptoms be recorded other than ny observable (and often overlapping) traits and self-reported feelings? By definition there has to be an arbitrary cut-off point between "normal" and a diagnosis based on these traits, which is open to interpretation... why does she think that she is the only person who has spotted these problems with the DSM, which are discussed in A-Level psychology?
As ever, I'm sure there are no solutions beyond vague references to "trauma informed" this that or the other.
Good science is not trying to prove a hypothesis - which is her mentality on all research she does. Her confirmation bias is off the scales.
Can the very intelligent and capable people on here create some kind of master document with all her academic missteps (basically peer review her) and get that publicised? The media lap up her press releases without any scrutiny, we get clickbaity headlines which we can lol about here but they are genuinely quite damaging bits of misinformation.
