🤔 can’t she just be a nice, kind person who wants to help children? Not everyone has mental health problems.
She clearly isn't or she would do that without blasting each and every single thing she does on the internet

I like them actually, I think she’s done an amazing job of taking children out of the care system and given them a loving stable family home.

But on the topic of food waste, her pantry is always jam packed full and she buys more every week. They never seem to eat as much as they buy. And it obviously comes from a place of love- she wants to provide for them and have them want for nothing, but they must throw away an awful lot.
She may benefit from doing “the pantry challenge” where you only eat what you have in for x amount of time, and not buy until it’s gone.
How do you justify her exploitation of the children? They’re not old enough to understand the implications of having their every moment and circumstance broadcast to the world to exist on the internet forever. Imagine getting to be an adult and finding out the “safe home” actually profited significantly from sharing your personal details for their own gain.
Let alone the rubbish the household generates with all the single use items, and the really poor nutrition.

She revealed that some of the kids are incontinent and wear nappies still. She's absolutely awful, they all must get bullied at school bad enough already, especially the teens when she makes them wear matching clothes and shows herself making their lunch with their names.

I've watched about 10 of her videos now. I find them fascinating, probably bc I get exhausted just watching. I enjoy people but I need quiet to relax. She's an extrovert so she gets engery from people.

I don't mind the food she packs for lunch or cooks for meals. I worked with foster kids for close to 20 years, so I know the hell their lives can be. People don't want to adopt sibling sets OR special needs. She's done both and the kids seem to go to school and have sports and music without issues. The kids she adopted don't seem to be treated any differently than the ones she gave birth to.

Compared to Tom Mills, Jamerill or Cluttered Mom, those kids are doing well.

We will have to see how things are now that her friend asked her to take custody of these two kids. I think the older boys were 4-6 when taken in and most of the others were younger, so we'll see what the new dynamic is.

I need the tea!! Why has neveah left. The mum reminds me of someone who would be involved in some strange cult. Things don't seem right to me.

Or maybe she has just found a way of making a lot of money. To me the way she is making the money is not something I would chose to do. It does smack of exploitation and the consequences of exposing the childhoods of children that have already been unstable on line will come to a head for the Dougherty’s sooner rather than later. That is not mental illness it is making a life choice. A bad one!
I don't think she should be allowed to foster/adopt any more kids (hopefully she won't anyway) with the disregard she has for their privacy. Maybe when she started adopting her intentions were good but they're definitely not now, she uses those kids for social media fame. Her kids are probably being bullied in school because she's revealed all their medical issues. She also favours the biological ones, it is really really obvious.

I started watching these guys a little while ago, initially thought they were OK

But

How much CRAP do those kids eat? Why does she buy SO much food - when she has cupboards and freezers full?

I spent my teen years in the system so I know what you mean, I think that's why I feel so bad for the new two as I know how personal it is to go through family trauma, but I can't imagine it being published online or having to navigate it all with TikTok. I also agree that they're doing better than the Mills and Jamerill kids, at least they actually get socialisation outside of the family, but Alicia is apart of the same kind of religion and if you watch some more videos you see a similar vibe and values, nothing on Andrea level though, she was, something else...

They fostered the twin boys when they where under a year and adopted soon after but the older sibling set were under 10. These are the first teenagers so it really will be interesting to see how it goes.

A few months back there was an incident at the Dougherty house and Neveah was hospitalised. Apparently she range her real Mum who arranged for a relative to come get her and take her to the ER. Apparently Alisha turned on her Mum and got a restraining order against her. Make of that what you will. A podcaster (won’t say his name) says she has defo not gone to live with her Mum. N always seemed so vulnerable and scared.

I can't for the life of me, work out why they buy so much food!
Their house/cupboards/fridges etc are all chock full, yet we still get a bragging shopping video every week.
Its a video every week that pulls in hundreds of thousands of views so no way she's stopping, everything she does is for $$$.

I cannot get my head around the mini fridge restocks - I'm no almond mum and I'm sure my kids would love that much sugar but it just seems so unnecessary to give them access to that much sweets and chocolate in a week!

I've followed them for a few months and thought they were lovely to open their home to children in the care system.
I think it is irresponsible. 2 adults cannot oversee the intensive and close care of that many children. Same goes for these big American religious families like the Duggars. The kids end up becoming responsible for the younger ones in a way that isnt healthy for their well-being

It’s explained earlier in the thread. It was a video of pizza making or something and the gran was telling Alex off in the back ground and threatening to beat him. And Alicia was kicking off about taking Neveah to the doctor who told a vulnerable teenager she needed to lose weight. I agreed with Alicia that it was totally uncalled for and could have caused so much harm. Anyway it’s been taken down.

The latest shopping haul is actually ridiculous! Who 'impulse buys' an arcade game? Those things cost like hundreds if not thousands of pounds!?! They then bought 12 iPhone 14s. I can understand maybe getting one for a few of the older kids but most of the kids are under 12. Like which 5 year old needs a phone?

It’s not the fostering that’s lucrative, it’s the social media stuff, especially considering not many of her kids are fostered anymore.

Something tells me the new girl is a bit of a rebel. They disappeared quickly but she had tagged herself on the DD Instagram stories. Just clips of her boobs in a bra.

And as others said on here you can see how uncomfortable the new children are.

I wonder how the family constantly changing affects the other children, too. Biological and adopted.

The amount of rubbish in those Easter baskets was ridiculous. Rubbish as in plastic junk that will be in the bin by the end of the day. Wtf does a 16 year old boy want with that crap?

The happy meal snack seems like an odd choice. After all the rest of the food they had before that, and with dinner still to come, the littlest ones surely couldn’t eat an entire happy meal for a snack then go on to eat dinner after. I’m sure the older ones would easily polish off a happy meal as a snack.
They probably would but I think alot just goes in the bin.. and can you imagine the stick the teens would get at school 🤦🏼‍♀️ same as the lunches she packs. The teens don't take bags with their names on, they get lunch at school or sometimes go home for it. She's just one huge fraud who does stuff for content and it's a huge waste of food.
