Haven't heard back yet from the company my former manager referred me for, unfortunately (but that was late on Friday). I ended my workday today crying because I feel like I'm never enough and people chase me for stuff other people didn't do. Why am I supposed to track tit for everybody and chase them for it, nobody is doing that for me either and it shouldn't be necessary for grown-a adults in a professional environment. Sorry, that outburst really isn't professional at all, but I need to air my grievances here for a bit.
Boyfriend found me crying and said that if that is my reaction, I should hand in my notice and gt out, or suck it up. He's probably right. On the other hand, I keep getting told that I should be promoted because I work at a higher level than I'm listed for currently, yet that promo is maaaaaybe at the end of this year and people told me last year already that I should have gotten it. That in itself is so unfair that I could cry. And probably should look more seriously for something else. I understand delayed gratification, but it's getting a bit old at this point that I have to prove myself over and over. The rate this is going I'll be a pensioner when they get around to it.
