I have, but it’s first name.lastname@companyname ..... my old account was registered under a gmail account also firstname.lastname etc..... wonder if they’d check that?

Edit: Have registered under work email. Will see what happens. Nothing to lose eh?

It seems like it's literally impossible for some people to re-registered on DS but other previously banned users manage it without problem. It's very weird and seems totally random.

I've been banned about 5 times from DS, however now trying to get back on isn't so easy.

I tried to set up a new account because there is a certain person I want to contact, managed to set up the account but it was terminated by the mods which is annoying.

You probably missed the one on the Advice forum where she posted on a thread about someone's dying mother. She described (in her usual florid way) a funeral she'd witnessed including, of course, what she was wearing. It was removed shortly after, but I don't know how or why.

DS just has a different way of categorising subjects, in a more clearly defined way.Depression help would come under the Advice forum. All forums are different.

I follow the Corrie threads and I'm inclined to agree with you, especially the SOR thread. It goes around in circles with everyone wanting to have the last word on a subject and God help you if you ask a question or comment on something that's already been discussed! There's a particular poster who likes the sound of their own voice and dominates discussion on there, quite often repeating things that others have said as if they are their own thoughts. They also have an annoying habit of signing off each post with an emoji! Most of my contributions go unnoticed!

Same I posted something in a long running thread with a link last night about coronation street.

One of the clique took my post almost word for word with the same link 15 minutes later and turned it into a thread. I don't know why I bother sometimes (!) (so I don't!)

I've only ever started two threads in all my time there and yet the number of discussions is a lot more than that. Taglet doesn't ring a bell to me, I don't know of that poster. The conversation that was quoted by the mods as the reason for my ban was with BanglaRoad.

No. I've always found her ok. Someone else I believe, though I'd rather not name them as it may not be them. I just find it frustrating that a person can get a ban for 'wrong think' so to speak

I was just being nosy lol. And yeah, a lot of people on this thread have posted similar gripes around the wrong think. It never used to be that bad, I just can’t understand why they’ve wanted to go in this new direction, they must be haemorrhaging on their member count the way they keep banning people for not agreeing with them.

Since some people are struggling to get back onto DS - have you been using hotmail/gmail style email addresses? Apparently they don't accept them any more (which is odd, I registered with my gmail account 5 years ago no problem) and want "official" email addresses.

Oh well that explains why my latest attempt has failed, I used an old gmail account and before that hotmail.
