What are the alerts they're talking about over there - is it pressing the report button and if so, how do other members know how many times someone has done it?

I just popped into the DS showbiz and there is not a lot going on there, however I found out my Mate "Lucy Van Pelt" is still posting, I wish I could contact her and get her over here. We were great on the Katie Price threads while they lasted, quite a double act we turned out to be.
I’ve seen quite a few new posters which might suggest they’ve relaxed on who can sign up lately, you could try registering under a new email address, make the necessary number of posts/stay there long enough to get the ability to PM and then contact that way?

It's very telling isn't it but also very frustrating for the members (like me) who've been on there for years and have recently been banned for micky mouse reasons when you see what others get away with.
Yes, it's more than frustrating. Way back in the good old days you used to be able to have an adult discussion with no repercussions. Now you can't simply disagree with someone and you get the post pulled and at least a reprimand if not a ban. Yesterday's exchange on the "regrets" thread was a good example of this. Anyway, if it hadn't been for that particular person I wouldn't be here, so it's all good. :)

Why your internet provider and phone number? Could you not use a new email address,, register on a friends computer and then when accepted back you could then log in on your phone?

I did notice when you first go on digital spy you have to agree to accepting cookies from the Hearst group. Maybe that's where they see you were a former member.

I shouldn't be having to resort to this, ive always been respectful on there though I did get passionate about some topics.

Banning should be for extreme cases or for serious bullying and not for a different viewpoint or for getting things wrong in videos that you link to. Its frustrating :sneaky:
They seem to have ways of finding out these things!

They've just closed down a thread devoted to discussing people who used to post on there but no longer do. Why would you do that!?
I've just remembered there was another thread on the same subject quite some time ago, I learned to my horror that Sulla had been banned.

Soon there will be no one posting in that thread. Only about half a dozen different names post now it seems to me.
For sure, they've gradually killed what was once a good mix of all sorts of posters, of various political persuasions.
Bangla never used to post in the lbc thread, him & head girl Venetian were usually found in the TalkSport thread, guess there wasn't enough 'sport' to hunt in there though

The 200 page thread, it seemed to attract all the nasty low lifes over on DS who more than likely live a shite life and attacking someone on social media cheers them up.

It certainly seems a lot better on here and people are friendlier and able to accept other opinions - I'm just having trouble finding my way round it so have only really stuck to this post so far.

I do pop into DS to see what's going on still, even though I can't sign in or comment. I think I saw the beginning and end of the exchange on regrets but not the middle bit as the post was obviously removed pretty quickly. I'm presuming the alleged offender was a small furry animal.

I've had warnings and bans for similar misdemeanours recently, mainly for having a different opinion to the clique so apparently that's why they did it. It's a mystery how I've managed to be a model forum member for 14 - 15 years without a warning or ban but have obviously turned into the devil incarnate in the last year or so without even realising.
Same, 17 years I was on there. Ah well.
