I have just read the fiend one , not sure he is the full ticket , in the last month he has started two threads about trousers

He has a business fixing computers for people in his village but knows absolutely nothing and tries to get everyone on DS to do the work for him for free. Mad person, but somehow kind of endearing to me...probably because at least he's not nasty to people, something you can say about so few DS posters these days.

A couple of posters having a dig at the mods in covid thread saying "unless you come from the politics forum where you can post what you like."
A clear dig at CRM who is now Mr Teflon it appears add him to the list of "will never get banned".

I think most of the "Chatter" forum is devoted to mind-dumbing games like this one. And you do see people posting to every single thread every day, every week, every month.

And then they have the temerity to tell lesser mortals that because they have 300,000 posts it makes them some kind of Forum God, and that everyone should bow down, tug the forelock and be blessed breathing the same air as The Entitled One

I suppose it takes all sorts! And I haven’t been through the whole thread so I don’t know if there’s any chat in between but I scrolled through the first and last pages and it’s just those posts. Is it boredom? Loneliness? It can’t be loneliness, it’s on a whole forum with loads of other people to actually have conversations with if they were lonely. Easy way to drive up post count? Sense of achievement? I just don’t get it

I’ve seen quite a few new posters which might suggest they’ve relaxed on who can sign up lately, you could try registering under a new email address, make the necessary number of posts/stay there long enough to get the ability to PM and then contact that way?

I did try a while back but I was denied access, I even set it up on my phone instead of a computer.

Me too. Various mobiles, different networks, even used different WiFi as well. Different email addresses the lot. Would they let me register? Would they fuck! They must have MI5 scrutinise every application lol

I used to read DS a bit but got a bit cliquey. Agree about Holby - that's probably the only one I read now.

Out of curiosity, did anyone else have encounters with the user called Damon Plembury?

I know he was a bit of an irritant in General Discussion but I clashed with him a few times in the high octane world of the Eurovision sub-forum () when he couldn’t accept people had different opinions.

That of course isn’t unusual but he would SHOUT HIS RESPONSES AT YOU in the hope his opinion (the correct one in his eyes) was heard loudest of all. He derailed numerous threads doing that and started getting personal in his attacks.

After he was (eventually) banned, he appeared days later on the Eurovision forum under a new name (that mimicked my user name of all things) and attempted to fit in but didn’t keep up the presence of being someone else for very long as he started SHOUTING AGAIN!

The result? Another ban!

It’s certainly a less lively part of DS without him now, that’s for sure...

Does anyone know what happened to the poster KeyserSoze? He was banned from DS, then DTV, then Sleeping Dogs. He always sounded a bit vulnerable, and I felt a bit sorry for him.

Not seen Biffo the Bear or Pumping Iron on there for a while. either.

It's descended into a pack hunt as a couple of users have pointed out the clique herd. Become really nasty, insults and bullying aplenty.

Discussion was raging till 4.41 am, at which point the thread got closed!

The good thing is people are pushing back against them in this thread though. Even when the discussion inevitably gets deleted it's refreshing to see posters speaking their minds in a constructive way, and making note of who can't handle that so as to avoid them in the future.

I think the only other forum that comes close to being as horrible as DS, is the Student Room.

As if by magic the merchant of doom and gloom SierraMist appears in a poof of smoke just as the Brazil Variant is found, barely a sound since the cases dropped but now there is some bad news it returns.

I bet he warns that the relaxing of lockdown is too soon now, and that restrictions should stay in place till summer at least etc

I'm wondering now if I've been permanently banned...I got a 4 week ban on January the 4th around 5 pm. I thought by now I could login. Tried today and it said ' you don't have permission' I then emailed forum support and got an automatic message sent back that didnt make anything clearer.

Admittedly I did try and set up a new account shortly after the ban started which was declined, forum support replied and said my IP/email address was associated with another account. All being said I've not had an email from them saying I'm permanently banned?.

I've set up a new email address with yahoo mail and will email the forum support later in asda using their WiFi and hopefully it will sent and be read and I can log in to my account.

Does anyone know any other way of contacting them other than forums digital spy.co.uk ?
