OMG I use to post on there but it become so unsavoury especially the soaps forum, I use to get unsolicited messages from a weirdo on there, never again.
I used to post on the soaps forum and had the same experience after I took pity on a poster that was being picked on. She kept messaging me hoping I would back her up.

I gave up on there as everyone used to take it all too seriously. The EE thread here isn't very active but at least nobody seems to be over invested or moralistic about everything. It's definitely more light hearted 😄

Well, I’ve still got my DS account after signing up yesterday. Half expected not to be able to sign in today.

I’ve been on a forum (LGBT support) in the past where I got stripped of full membership for asking why users had been banned. Needless to say I ended up getting into a beef with the mods and was banned myself.

Doesn’t surprise me that the same happens on DS.

Is she the same as Moanylisa, who says she’s married to a GP? I know there are two posters with similar names. Moanylisa lisa reported me for saying she had an apt username, and I got a warning for that!

Good to know :) I’ve just been having a good read of this thread. Interesting!
I remember your name on there 'The Finisher'

I dunno how long youve been on d.s but the moderation seems stricter these days with threads being cropped and folks getting banned. Though maybe it was always so, though I can't remember it being.

In that case you'll never be banned or reported for having a different POV to other users, although, that is rather the point of a discussion forum.
Oh I've had posts reported for sure and I do have discussions it's just that I never let it go so far as to get me banned.

A new poster resurrected two old threads. I could feel the rage coming from Macca. "Bumpity "pointless" Bump!!"

I really detest Macca. Someone that feels they need to protect an online forum but at the same time breaks many rules with their drive by posts and thread whining. Someone started a thread about a TV show, telling us where and when it was airing, Macca had to have the first reply "Why have you formatted your post in that way?" Go away you boring poster! I have seen that they check every single thread just to make sure it agrees with what they think Ds should be.

Macca, if you are here and read this - give yourself peace.
Macca is a complete and utter piece of shyte. End of.

I've just found it if anyone's interested.

The second post in that thread is rather poignant, with its quote from an early news report, "at least six people were reportedly killed today when two planes crashed into the World Trade Centre tower." 'SIX people.....'
I know, it's very poignant and interesting isn't it? Still only 18 pages. I bet half of them are from people bumping it in later years.

Edit: Have registered under work email. Will see what happens. Nothing to lose eh? 😂

Anyone got any thoughts on the poster fairyprincess0, who claims to be trans but I strongly suspect is just a fetish freak looking to shock? Some of what they post is so creepy and does a great disservice to actual trans people. I am amazed they've never been banned. In one thread just now they've "joked" they'd be arrested if they donated their laptop to a school. o_O:confused:
I've seen their posts in passing and the odd bitchy comment in General Discussion but nothing that's ever really stood out to me personally but I haven't taken that much notice, probably because I've been riled up by something the usual suspects have said. DS does seem to have it's fair share of 'interesting' individuals, I can't say I've come across anyone like a lot of them in the real world.

She is a horrid person, I recently had an altercation with her in showbiz because I found her obsessive hatred towards a famous person strange. I think it was her who reported me and got me banned so I'm really hoping karma eventually slaps her in the face.
Lucy Van Pelt is knocking about on here. See posts #806 and #784.

Aargh, by jove I've got it - that means I lied about reporting 2 posts, it was actually 10 in 14 years so worse than I thought but not bad considering. I've never understood the reporting thing unless it was for something really bad like the post that was made about Lucy earlier but was quickly changed. Surely it's easier just to ignore the post or poster rather than getting a blistered finger from pressing the report button so often - in life there will be things you don't like, get over it and move on. It's kind of sad if you feel the need to keep doing it - maybe a discussion forum isn't the place for people like that, an appreciation site would be better.
It's a little touch of power to those who do it. They're probably the types to go full Karen over an expired coupon. Reading the DS thread linked here, a couple seem a tad peeved over the discussion over here, that Tanya character is trying to be nonchalant about it. She really is a piece of work!

I see James2001 has decamped back to the brexit thread, bemoaning the fact he can't go furry hunting in Europe anymore no doubt. Crying into his animal suit all day comforting himself on old episode of Coronation Street and Emmerdale.

Poor old James such a life to have.
