Off topic but does anyone know what happend to an old forum called Diabolik.tv? Was just thinking about it, they used to slag DS off a lot there.

There is no point.

I guess it is populated by people with lots of spare time and no-one to talk to.

If I was that bored and lonely, I'd do a jigsaw or read a book or find something compelling to watch on Netflix.

Then again, I guess the posters on the CTAM thread feel that they are part of a community and interacting with others, no matter what. In these unprecedented times, loneliness is more apparent than ever before.

I've been banned about 5 times from DS, however now trying to get back on isn't so easy.

I reckon breaking into the White House is easier than getting back on DS. Crazy that a tacky entertaintment forum goes to so much trouble, really.

I understand that a lot of the pseudo politicians on DS are also on twitter. Many of them post links to twitter. Mind you, some of them post links from the Daily Mail but only ever with a disclaimer to say that they don't read it because then they'd be out of the loop so to speak! Then others post about the comments in the Daily Mail online so that they can complain about them and appear to be one of the knobhead gang. They love to be permanently offended and outraged. It must be very tiring

I would personally add Lucy Van Pelt to this list.

She’s dreadful from what I’ve experienced in General Discussion. Anyone who dares to disagree with her now gets hurled abuse in return. She questions anyone with low post counts, claiming they must be trolls (not just a new user obviously) and has tried to start pile-ons against certain users because she thinks her opinions are fact.

She often like to make a thread about herself these days and has become quite the irritant now.

I can’t stand her...

Just seen a comment on DS saying most over 70s haven’t got internet, based on guessing and data. What a stupid comment , and insulting to those of us who have been on the internet for many years!

There are a few who imagine anyone over the age of 40 is past it - they're probably only about 12 themselves.

Tanya1982 is still being given free reign to cause utter chaos in any thread she rocks up in and decides to takeover as her own personal safe space.

I have never seen anything so bizarre on any online community, and I've been online for a bloody long time.

It shows up the moderation, that’s for sure. Not only does she have free reign as a new poster, she has also successfully had long term posters put on bans, albeit temporary ones. Her posts are annoying, she is annoying, but she’s also running rings around pretty much everyone there and I can’t help but find it a little bit funny

I remember her - Em was her username I think.

But I remember it slightly differently - she had a child with an Asian guy that she had a one night stand with, who wanted nothing to do with her or the child. Then she got with another Asian guy who she called her partner. One of them went to prison - either the one night shag or partner - and because she was a fucking dick who gave away too many details about the crime, someone managed to find a news report on the case complete with photographs of this really ugly bloke. I always remember someone saying "he's no Brad Pitt is he?"and she had a massive strop about it all

She talked about anal a lot. Having seen her face (I think she had a link to her MySpace account or something at one point on her profile with loads of photos of her and the baby) I can see why the fellas preferred it that way.



I remember her too. Funny, I think about that one quite regularly but I can't remember her username. But yes, she was another fucking idiot who would ask for advice then do the complete opposite.

And to think I got a "warning" for banter that didn't involve the Marmite Motorway.

There was a persistent poster called Robert something or the other, who was incredibly jealous of his sister, who had a brilliant job and a wonderful house and a hugely expensive car, he never took any of the advice offered either, just wailed 'but it's not FAIR!' before disappearing for a while. Probably all the same poster?

His username was Robert with four numbers on the end, I think.

Have been a regular but infrequent poster on DS since C4 closed the Big Brother forum. Have been there over 16 years but have only posted around 200 comments.

I have never been warned, less banned. Have not overly noticed the particular wokeness, what grinds my years is the misogyny on certain threads and the cliques.

The worst culprits it my experience are Rhumble and Pgwoodhouse.

I was really enjoying classic Coronation Street and found the thread only to find it full of people making horrible comments about any actress over 40. Percy however was exempt from criticism, despite being written as a difficult character. They post again and again about the way Rita treats Mavis, ignoring the fact the they are written as a humorous double act. Not been there in more than a year.

Don't mention Harry and Megain, well, don't criticise them in any way or you get a final warning or ban. I asked the reasons I got suspended and was told posting links to media sources could incite hatred and leave DS open to legal action from Harry and Megain.

Hello I used to post on DS yearsssss ago! Mainly in the BB forums. I couldn’t log back in after the username/password debacle because I had no idea which email I had used to make the account about 10 years ago so I came over here.

I saw the Mandy mccan thread and thought well this will get shut down in a minute

But it wasn't closed, it's actually still up and running, I'm still quite shocked it's there.

DS is just a grim place these days. I haven't logged in for some time now because I actually want to see differing opinions and potentially debate things, not just the same opinion on everything and additionally being ignored by cliques.

DS is boring, GD is full of Covid 19 threads, BLM threads, however I'm managed to spice things up a tad with a few threads which did rather well.


Oh and Frank Debrin was banned tonight.

Yes it probably was! He was so desperate for a girlfriend so he could be like his high-flying sibling but he was full of self doubt and loathing and never took any of the advice on offer.

I remember being tempted to register a new account and pretend to be Rob's sister or Samthefootball's stepbrother That was in the days when it was relatively easy to get on DS. These days it's obviously trickier.

Hi everyone. I joined DS about fourteen years ago and have to agree with comments in this thread about certain posters who don't think others should have an opinion that differs from their own. The Politics forum is the worst, it's horrendous and Support just let it go. I've been warned on there so many times for the most trivial posts, mainly for having an opinion. It's not been the same since SULLA was banned as his little quips were hilarious and he never let the argumentative idiots get to him.

I'm currently banned for daring to include my own opinion but I can't understand why? Anyway, I stumbled across you all in here, and I think I'm going to enjoy myself.

What happens if someone else starts the thread first? Does it just get ignored?

Just reading through the old threads to catch up with the gossip, and the answer to this is that it makes sense for the same person to start the thread so that there aren't others, as that causes a bit of confusion. But it does happen on several threads, you then have to choose which one you're going to follow! Sometimes the regular starter forgets, so someone else will step in before the episode airs.
