It was shitting in front of kids and it was FairyPrincess, If we’re talking about the same thread. It got cleaned up a LOT, I’m sure it was 14 or 15 pages long originally - There was a long running heated exchange between FP and Whedonite and Tanya1984 about said shitting self confession. When I’m on my computer I’ll do a proper search and see if any of the posts were archived before deleted

I wasn’t a member when it was posted but remember being at work and reading through it, horrified, and refreshing every ten minutes for updates. How no ban was given for FPs posts in that thread I will never understand. There was also a mention of how after such an act, they would go home and “pleasure” themselves
This pretty much nails my suspicion that most DS members are actually posting from Broadmoore.

That’s what I have an issue with. Obviously all forums need moderation otherwise it would be a free for all, it’s the faceless aspect of it. Why the secrecy? And more to the point how do you even get chosen to be a mod there?
They advertised for it on a thread. I’ll try and find it later.
Okay, so the post has been deleted now but I grabbed some of it:

Hearst UK's largest digital brand Digital Spy is looking for a Freelance Weekend Content Moderator to help manage the bustling DS Forums, which is one of the biggest and busiest internet discussion forums in the world.

This is a paid freelance position, covering 12 hours a week over Saturday and Sunday with potential for additional hours, reporting in to the Forums Moderator and site Chief Sub Editor to ensure user sign-ups are authorised, user-generated content is moderated to an acceptable quality and all users are safe, sound and enjoying the forums.

Within the role, the successful applicant will be responsible for investigating and actioning any user reports, resolving customer service issues and working to deliver community standards and customer service targets.

I too think Taglet is a moderator. Too many times I saw a thread get culled and closed with people being banned right after she rocked up in it. It happened too many times for it to be a coincindence.
While looking for the above, I found this thread: https://forums.digitalspy.com/discu...ma-public-television-bans-gay-wedding-episode

On page 2, Taglet posts on it. Looks like some pruning may have occurred because the next post after hers was from a user called Dean something who observed:

"....what's the point in even discussing articles like this when the Mods feel fit to delete half the posts in this thread????

¯\_:)|)_/¯ "

Dean only got to make one more post on another thread and then...account BANNED!

Like you said, it happens too many times for it to be coincidental.

Yep, that's the problem, you can't express your opinion without thinking really hard about it and a couple of words can cost you dearly.
You will find here on Tattle many subjects that would be not allowed on DS, as long as you keep within the guidelines here you will be
okay.
That's good to here and sounds how a discussion forum should be rather than just an echo chamber with the same people saying the same thing day in and day out

Just seen a comment on DS saying most over 70s haven’t got internet, based on guessing and data. What a stupid comment , and insulting to those of us who have been on the internet for many years!

Yeah that’s the one, she used to post in the Big Brother forum.
Yes, she was a funny one, could be quite brittle but also very nice too.
If anyone remembers way back in the day, pairofpants died of breast cancer in 2010. She was one of the main bods on Diabolik Tv.

There is no point.

I guess it is populated by people with lots of spare time and no-one to talk to.

If I was that bored and lonely, I'd do a jigsaw or read a book or find something compelling to watch on Netflix.

Then again, I guess the posters on the CTAM thread feel that they are part of a community and interacting with others, no matter what. In these unprecedented times, loneliness is more apparent than ever before.
I would certainly agree with that. Perhaps such threads do offer some comfort and social belonging to those who are finding it difficult to cope, especially given the current climate.

That said, when I was a member over there I did see some Drama Queens with 200k+ posts/likes, belittling noobies and anyone with less than 50k posts!

Funny old world

During my brief tenure on DS I noticed in the Chatter forum pages and pages of mind-numbing games/word puzzle threads. And that some members would spend nearly all morning posting to each one, but without venturing out beyond that.

Now of course, if that's what they want to do then fine. All harmless fun. But blimey when I saw some of them brag about having 250k posts over a period of 10+ years, you do have to think was it time well spent? 🤪

This thread is hilarious! I posted once on DS got banned within half an hour.

There is definitely an in crowd over there. I still lurk over there now and again, but, every thread descends into an argument, over the most minute of things normally and the same group of posters keep the convo's going around in petty circles.

I've registered here to just add this comment! (Such a friendly forum, hey Tattle!)

Anyone else came across the totally crazy Alexandra Burke fan who seems to post on pretty much all of the reality TV forums and only ever supports one demographic?

The problem with ds is the forums are more of a liability than anything for Hurst magazines as they won't really make them any money so they don't care.

So they've asked forum members to put themselves forward to mod and that attracts the worst people so it's predictably turned into a mess. Anyone that is desperate for the power should be kept well away from it.

I hope more of the good posters join our lbc thread here!

Can I ask how you became a mod? Other forums I know the mods have been approached after being posters for a while. I've never known anyone to advertise for mods but then DS is a large, well known forum so I'm not sure how it works on larger sites.

The moderation on DS has killed it for me. It's no fun when you have to think twice about everything you post.

As I had nothing else to do this morning, I had a look at Bangla's profile and there are 430 'discussions'. Even if you take of the 100+ posts he's created that's still a lot of interaction with the mods and there's only so many times you can contact them about thread merges and the like.

He's killed the LBC thread and his interactions on the TalkRadio thread are only there to cause trouble. The gang are out to get Martin and Crawley Cutie that's for sure. Their interactions with them are so rude and pathetic.

Bangla is quite a sad individual really, it's obviously how he gets his kicks these days. Oh, and don't get me started on the bursts of Italian he insists on using :rolleyes:

And if anyone is isn any doubt, I would say all of this to Bangla's face on DS but obviously that would lead to a permanent ban ;)
Yeah. Spot on.
Would imagine he'll move into the TalkRadio thread eventually, when there's nobody left to bait & get banned in the lbc one, taking head girl Venetian along with him
He spends his days abusing folk on twitter too.
Ferrari, Castle, Nawaz, Farage, Dale, Allen are all living rent-free inside his head

That thread was brilliant.:m It was my first port of call every morning and cheered me up no end. The late night posters were absolutely hilarious. She's an old slapper, always was, always will be but some men can't see past her plastic tits and they get mesmerised by them. Very creepy and pervey and much more disturbing than taking the piss out of the dirty lying tramp.
Could it be the case Fred that some men don't have a lot of respect for Katie Price (thats me) but are appalled at the disgusting personal attacks on her and other B list celebs who are easy targets and can't fight you back? If that sort of thing cheers you up then I suggest you change your life coach because you ain't shining a good light on yourself and your character. Now go and find something truly worth focusing your razor sharp wit and critique on, plenty of important things around these days to moan about.

I dunno which thread you all read on DS. It looks suspiciously like the LBC General Chit-Chat thread. Bangla and his friends try to rule the roost, with their snarky remarks. Any presenter they don't like has a childish made-up name.

Is there an LBC discussion over here that I may join? (I come in peace!).
Bangla and his gang are impossible. They think they are so clever but are actually just tedious bores. So cliquey it's embarrasing.

I remember the conversation that led to No Drama Lama getting banned and remember wondering how long she
would last once engaged with Bangla and I was proved right.

DS has changed beyond all recognition and there is something seriously off with the moderation.

Surely in my case if I logged in to ds on a new sim, say topped up with £10 and on a new email address, that as soon as I went back to my regular sim on my phone (which is my only source of internet at home) then they'll recognise the phone/sim from before and re ban me?

Maybe someone on here is more tech minded and knows for sure.
Yeah, sorry - I have no idea! It would be interesting to know how these forums keep a track - I mean, for example what if you lived in shared accommodation at uni etc, would one person on a ban mean that everyone else was as well? If someone techy could explain how it works in layman's terms I'd be interested to know!

Ahh remember when DS was - Broadcasting - TV Licence threads
UK TV Shows - Shows people actually watched and commented on live like Broadchurch.
General Discussion - How quickly can you count to 3 without saying err or pausing.
Politics - Labour will win next election easily Tories are finished in the UK no young people become Tories these days they are dying out.
Now it's
Broadcasting - These are the horse race commentators today 😴
UK TV Shows - I hate this morning but I watch it everday....
General Discussion -Should I buy a cheap kettle or a more expensive one.
Politics - We Can still stop Brexit.

Tiacat is sat looking at two doves having sex in the garden. 🤔

Only on DS would someone start a thread about that.
LOL!
It is my regular past time in the Summer - it's not the actual shagging, which is a split second, but the courtship, the nudging, beak rubbing and chasing up and down the fence that makes me smile. Humans could learn something here. ;)💓

I've been comparing discussion of Tom Moore on here and Digital Spy. The consensus on here is a minority jumped on for 'trolling' on DS.
