james asked me last night on DS was this site the one that is openly hostile to DS members who join here
Truly everyone has been amazing since I joined, Never knew about this place until DS closed the Saggy a thread
for those that don't know it was a long running thread about Philip schofield when he posted those naked pictures of himself
and it became the main thread for any stories on him.

Omg wtf! That’s something I’d never imagined I’d read! My curiosity is pushing me to do a Google images search...even though I know it could traumatise me

That Tanya post was hilarious as was dearnrman’s reply. I don’t think Tanya is the full shilling. She comes across as a total fantasist.

Funny how fantasist is the most common word to describe Tanya.

It is hostile to the a$$hole DS members, whom have 'gotten off' on making good and tolerant members time an absolute misery.

I can't say we ever had any nasty exchanges, so welcome!

I certainly feel much more comfortable on here.

Would that still hold true if they started posting things that saw the politics section pulled?

It is also clear that many can't be trusted to discuss sensible politics on DS, without the added nastiness. So why they continue to allow it seems really stupid. Especially as it could set them up for further problems in the future.

Well, I guess the posts in that lbc radio thread would have to be reported & a question posed to the Admin as to why it's been allowed to become a mini political forum.
I mean, political stories are reported on the likes of BBC Breakfast or Loose Women, so basically you could start posting political opinion in those threads too??

This is what happens when anti-semites are freely allowed to post their bile unchallenged by so called mods - whom I also hope lost their jobs as a result, as they clearly weren't doing them properly to begin with.

Of course those that post such trash will never admit to it being those very things they openly accuse others of: racism, xenophobia and bigotry.

The saggy a thread was my thread, it ran for over a year with lots of us discussing the awfulness of Schofield and his blatant narcissism. Then when he suddenly came out we started discussing what led him to suddenly do that.The the mods closed it because they were scared of being sued. Even Mumsnet let their Schofield threads run longer than DS did.

The saggy a thread was my thread, it ran for over a year with lots of us discussing the awfulness of Schofield and his blatant narcissism. Then when he suddenly came out we started discussing what led him to suddenly do that.The the mods closed it because they were scared of being sued. Even Mumsnet let their Schofield threads run longer than DS did.

Schofield is so in love with himself I was quite surprised he found time to be attracted to anyone else regardless of gender.

I've only been here 6 weeks (lurked for a long time though) and have been all over the site and I really like it. I haven't come across a thread that is horrible to other posters if you have a different opinion and the only place I've seen DS and it's posters mentioned is in this thread. It seems contained in here which is good so as not to infect this forum with the nastiness that took over DS.

If the mods were deemed responsible for allowing it, I wouldn’t be surprised if they ended up in the dock as well.

I’ve never understood the level of criticism directed at Occy either. Personally his contributions never really bothered me, though I can see why some may find him perhaps mildly (only very mildly) irritating. But still, he was harmless. Much, much worse people on DS. In fact Occy I don’t think even scores at all on a 1-10 of troublemakers/nastiness/problematic.

Mind you, the Lego fetish guy did my head in and I did end up blocking him in the end!

I said the same about occy in a previous post here. Yes, he starts the most silly of threads, but NEVER have I seen him be rude to another FM, no matter how rude they are to him.

LOL, don't get me started on Lego Man! AndrewBrown...? Any excuse to mention Lego. He even started a thread in Food & Drink. I can't remember how he wangled that one, but he did.

His choice of wording in his message congratulating the egregious Penny Crayon for wading straight into a Brexit thread was rather telling.
