DS Politics forum was out of hand, but with GD forum, they have cut their nose to spite their face.... I enjoyed looking at the many forums and making my small contributions, especially since I was diagnosed with AML - DS kept me in touch with the UK.

Unfortunately a lot of people have lost out thanks to the behaviour of others.

I've been a lurker of TV Forum for about 12 years, never got round to joining but I'm going to miss reading it. There's still DS for that sort of thing but the likes of Broadcasting, Satellite and Freeview have become so much quieter of the last year and will continue to get even quieter now that GD is gone.

Hopefully the new forum will be decent.

DS has totally lost the plot,
its closed down three of its most used forum sections..
For a site that relies on Clicks from adverts dropping loads of traffic seems a vert odd move

I'm shocked to see you here, haven't seen you on DS or Twitter in years.

In Sleeping Dogs somebody posted that the forum stats are down a lot in the last 6 months so its probably because they need to cut costs

It was as if Nish Kumar had discovered the secret of cloning. It's probably just as well I couldn't join as I'd have been banned in a heartbeat.



I just don't see how it isn't a hate word. It is said with hatred, bile and is intended as a hefty insult.

I would have liked to of seen what would of happened if a Black, or Asian Brexiteer took offence to being called that on DS.

How would the mods of reacted?

Does anybody remember a poster on DS who said that they would leave the forum once they reached a certain amount of posts? I think they were a student in between school and College?

Can't say I recall such a member. Sorry.

I doubt they did leave after the certain amount of posts though.

DS is owned by a massive company but a lot of these smaller forums are run by individuals and quite often at their own expense for software and bandwidth/servers. If it stops being fun and nothing but aggrevation then they will pull the plug.

I think the entire site set up - forums and main site - are on the way out.

Quite possibly.

Although looking at the new setup it is a lot more focused.

A new section especially for Pets, is one such example.
