Speaking of which, I’ve just been having a wander round and saw there had been loads of new posts about someone called Jack Monroe. Went on to the thread and apparently she’s a major “influencer.” I’d never heard of her but she doesn’t seem to be popular on here.

DS has totally lost the plot,
its closed down three of its most used forum sections..
For a site that relies on Clicks from adverts dropping loads of traffic seems a vert odd move

In Sleeping Dogs somebody posted that the forum stats are down a lot in the last 6 months so its probably because they need to cut costs

having a good prot at Trump Thats a vivid image, twitter the same just tweet and vanish.
thank you so much for that info it makes a lot more sense now. The moderation in politics alone must have been big
they were always having to remove or lock threads owing to heated rows breaking out

it got to the stage on DS if you dared say anything about phillip schofield they locked and deleted
even if it was something that had been widely reported in the media, and just posting about that.

DS seems to love silencing people these days, I was glad when I got banned earlier in the year because you literally can't discuss anything anymore.

I don't think I've seen you since the early days of Channel 5s reign of terror against big brother. I used to have a Twitter account and followed you and UnhappyBBFan because I really wanted live feed back and hated C5s treatment of the show.

It was one of the main reasons I pretty much "vanished" off DS.
from the start everyone at Channel 5 knew I was posting back what I had been told.
I had even sent them threads. All of a sudden this became a big issue and it got very nasty
with everything else going on it was the final straw.

I actually loath Schofield. He thinks he is a god. ITV have a lot to answer for, overkill the likes of which I've never known before.

that was the strange thing most of the stuff being posted was just comments on stories already in mainstream media
yet it would be locked or deleted straight away. The saggy a thread was 100% all about tweets stories yet it was closed.
we've had all this mess with Morgan leaving GMB. But it was fine for Schofield to hand Cameron a list of names he had off the internet.
then have ruth to stand there saying sorry for a mistake HE made.

Politics was active but in a horrible way as has been mentioned during this thread. I didn't read a lot of the Showbiz bit although that was the first bit I found. Was it maybe to do with the alleged rumours thread? I know it was really clear it was alleged but with people guessing whom they may refer to, even in coded ways I was too thick to understand, maybe someone got a bit nervy?

All I really know of Jack Monroe was that they were the person responsible for bankrupting Katie Hopkins when Monroe launched a libel case against her. Hopkins had to pay £24K in damages plus costs and it was the costs that ruined her.

I had also never heard of that person and went down a rabbit hole reading about her and reading some of that thread - what an absolutely frightful person! How on earth do people like that get careers in the public eye? The mind boggles!

Hence 170 threads, she’s an absolute horror, she’s a gaslighting charlatan, who begs for money. she caused a pile on of Jamie Oliver which resulted in the bbc giving her work, she was proud of her actions.

During the KH trial she got a pasting from the judge as she deletes thousands of her posts, and can’t back up most of her claims

Those that have gone to AV Forums for 'business as usual', will find they won't last very long there.

AV Forums may well end up 'doing a DS' and close down the politics section, if it becomes too much of a handful to manage.

I've been checking in on AV forums and Occy and Sierra mist were present for a few days, but have kept a low profile since.
