Stunned at the news of the closure of GD, Politics and Showbiz but ultimately I'm pleased as the first two I mentioned are horrendously vile places and just make Hearst look beyond terrible for keeping them running in the manner they have been.

Showbiz used to be a lot of fun but it's a graveyard these days. The one thing I'll miss is the Liz Jones thread, which is brilliant. I'm hoping people who post there may come over here as there's a thread for the raging narc ready and waiting. Oh, and I will miss the Blind Items thread...have we got one of those here we can decamp to?

The reason they disappeared was because they were mainly banned, due to the constant relentless and unnecessary reporting by the usual suspects.

Or maybe, just maybe, they weren't very nice posters.

I was having a look back at some of the pre-brexit/pre-scottish ref politics pages and my god it was either immigrant-bashing or benefit bashing every other post, with certain posters openly saying that immigrants "should go back home". Horrible stuff

having a good prot at Trump Thats a vivid image, twitter the same just tweet and vanish.
thank you so much for that info it makes a lot more sense now. The moderation in politics alone must have been big
they were always having to remove or lock threads owing to heated rows breaking out

it got to the stage on DS if you dared say anything about phillip schofield they locked and deleted
even if it was something that had been widely reported in the media, and just posting about that.

DS seems to love silencing people these days, I was glad when I got banned earlier in the year because you literally can't discuss anything anymore.

I don't think I've seen you since the early days of Channel 5s reign of terror against big brother. I used to have a Twitter account and followed you and UnhappyBBFan because I really wanted live feed back and hated C5s treatment of the show.

When will some of the idiots understand that when you hijack a forum with extremist and one sided views, the owners will eventually retaliate.
