What a ridiculous reason to be banned, just proof that the DS mods are rum.

Warning people that woke brigade are going to launch an attack is hardly banworthy. But in DS logic of you're not actively attacking people for not being woke then you're an evil bigot that deserves nothing but hate and abuse.
Over the last few years the moderation over trans topics has become extremely heavy-handed, for some reason or other.

I was jailed for transphobic comments, well so they claimed.
Me too. I was saying about women's sport and got jail time. I have a transgender grandchild and have no problems with real transgender. But when even the DS long time transgender members get warnings for transphobia, (same with black people for racism) you know they lost the f-ing plot

I think they have a few other accounts too which have been called out.

I actually got banned from DS for reporting HR Guru (as they were named then) for posting as Aurora13. I was arguing with HR Guru and all of a sudden HR Guru quoted themselves to support their argument (but written as a 3rd party). This was up for about a minute before they obviously realised their mistake and edited it to be a totally different post. Then lo and behold, the quoted post reappeared a short time later posted by Aurora13. On reporting the post, my account was banned with no correspondence or warning.

I have a definite image of MistyGuru being someone who definitely completely overestimates their talent, intelligence and abilities.
That's crazy. I did hear that they had messed up and revealed that they were using Aurora13. I never saw them before they took over the Covid thread and when HR Guru disappeared I actually thought they had been banned but sadly it was just the name change. They also haven't done themselves any favours today with Aurora just appearing at the right time during the argument to defend Mist but hasn't appeared since. They have also been having the same argument for about 8 hours now. Who has the energy or will to do that?!

I know I shouldn't keep reading the thread but I just can't help it. I need to see the latest installment of The Dr. Mist Saga.

Who have been some of the more Stranger DS posters over the years? I don't mean horrible posters, but the ones who used to come up with strange/creepy topics of discussion?

There were a load of members who got banned after the JK Rowling thing. FrankDrebin created a thread in response to the bans highlighting how absurd they were (none of the posters banned said anything offensive) and I posted in that thread echoing the same sentiment. He was permabanned and I got a week long ban.

It's strange that they are so touchy about that particular subject. Transphobia needs to be challenged but their definition of the term appears to be very rigid indeed.

DS is also very touchy on subjects like Madeline McCann. Start a thread on the subject, and it's immediately wiped from existence.

Does anybody remember JoeFlanigan? Had a penchant for Play.com, Gaydar and wearing Umbro shorts? By Christ, he was/is a weird one. There's an article online about him being banned from a Jobcentre for wearing a T-shirt they didn't like. He's active on twitter, obsessing over male soapstars and some of his tweets about them are just...

I saw that this morning. Thought about asking what she was on about, but a) couldn't be bothered and b) she would probably report me for daring to query her post !!!
Diesigal mentioned a couple of times on there that she grew up and lives in the Republic of Ireland. From time to time she used quote names and phrases that she'd hear voiced in the vernacular. I haven't been on the LBC thread to see, but maybe it's something to do with that.

That is part of the problem, too many banned subjects, this is why the Katie Price threads are not really allowed anymore because
they all end up the same way so she isn't allowed to be talked about.

Same goes for a number of subjects which kinds of defeats the object a tad.

Didn't diesigal used to post on the Steve Allen thread, giving daily synopses. If anyone else dared to do the same before them, they'd be totally blanked? Then diesigal would post pretty much the same as the blanked poster, but be liked and adored by everyone for it. Very cliquey.

I love looking at my old posts from a previous account from when I was 16-19 from around 2008-2011, some of the posts and threads are hilarious. I calmed down on DS for a while with a different account and managed to stay with the same one until one day when I got banned for some reason. Then about a year ago I started a new one where I tried to be safe but ended up getting annoyed by the trolls on there.

Now I have no intention of joining again, it's not worth it as there's no discussions worth joining and creating a new thread usually ends up with it being ignored or hijacked by scumbags.

I love to read posts like these. On Dogs their DS thread is basically people talking about things they can't talk about on DS, its not really about DS and its weird and wonderful members anymore, it's just a circle of guest saying the same things over and over. Someone did try to change the subject the other day by talking about a well-known forum perve who hounds women on forums. But the admin shut that down and now it's back to who they believe are DS mods, Corbyn and now a tangent about Scotland independence, half the posts have nowt to do with DS.

Pairofpaints (POPS) was admin on DSU/DTV she died a few years ago as did Betty the other female admin.

Does anyone remember the huge 9/11 conspiracy theory threads which used to appear every now and then? They were started by some theorist who was utterly convinced they had a winning argument and inevitably ended in a meltdown or flounce when it was systematically deconstructed.

I remember in one thread there was a poster who was deadly earnest in their belief that the Pentagon was hit by a missile with a payload of human body parts.

The original 9/11 thread (From 2001) was locked a couple of years back.
