There are two, one is a miserable angry bint, The other is a pathetic bint who is telling others to go get vaccinated so she can start going out to theatres again, even though she isnt going to have the vaccine

so fell away from it all until I found Tattle.Yes, she was Bettycat. DSU (digital spy uncut) was the first forum but they change platforms and lost everything in the move, (some juicy stuff on there ) They named the new one DTV and moved away more from the DS stuff, trouble is half of the DS members they talk rit about had joined to read what they had said about them, they stayed and they become like the DS they hated. DS really declined over the years, it was once great fun but now sitting reading it brings you down, so depressing, anyone trying to raise the tone gets jumped on pretty fast.

I see over on the Steve Allen thread they are accusing Steve Allen of being homophobic just because he dared to view some negative views on certain gay characters. In these days of Identity politics I don't suppose they could possibly comprehend that it might just be the old fashioned view that he doesn't like the gay community being stigmatised by some of the more flamboyant personalities stereotyping gay characteristics.
I didn't realise until after he died, but the actor John Inman apparently used to receive a lot of resentment from the gay community for his Mr Humphries character in Are You Being Served? It was seen as too stereotypical and a send up of the gay community.
Of course over on DS there is no nuance of views. With the PC brigade in force it can only ever be either one extreme or the other. God help if anyone should deviate from that.

Why and when did DTV shutdown? Decline in visitors?
I would visit DTV multiple times a day then suddenly I just stopped and a few weeks ago I thought I'd try and find it again but obviously it no longer exists.
Yes diesigal did used to post, but in fairness, she started up the thread and was the one that kept it going mostly. Her consistent, regular postings were really what built it up. I think because she got used to being the driver of the thread, that maybe it became a habit to post more accurate summaries of people's previous posts. I'm not sure there was ever any blanking of posts though. Mind you, most of my posts on there never seemed to receive much of a response generally, so I think I must have been on a different wavelength.
It was in a huge lull before it shut down. hardly anyone would post for weeks then you got a tiny flurry of posts then it went dead again. They just let the lease or whatever it is run out in the end
I think I remember it being quiet, that's why I must've stopped visiting as when I first joined the DS thread was just as busy as this one. Don't remember when it closed though, did it close down recently or in the last 4 years?
Think it was about two years ago. Their mistake was trying to get away from what made them popular. every annoying DS poster had their own thread but then they condensed it into one thread for all of DS. That and letting all those they were talking about join, killed them off.
Just searched my old user name. Last active 13/13/2007didn’t realise it was that long ago!! Just seen a thread for a game ‘celebdaq’ can’t remember if it was part of DS or just a link but I loved it. Just seeing some of the old names Kittylitter, Pru, showbizgossqueen, pairofpants. Reminded of a suspected troll graemecarter

I quite liked the DS thread when it was active, although I remember being slagged off for no valid reason for a post on DS so had to defend myself. I kept my DS and DTV user names different so I didn't get in trouble for stuff I said on DTV.
I think the only DTV user I remember was Debarkle.
Yes that is me! The profile is still there I have no idea what the passwords would be and it’s linked to an old work account so it will stay unused. I thought after that length of time they would have had a clear out of dormant users but it’s still there! Great nostalgia seeing this thread.
You also ran the risk of being doxed.
I used to like looking at that thread whenever it was bumped. It's a shame it got locked really.
