It's pretty troll like to fake one's death online and have a family member aka sock puppet come on to tell everyone the sad news. But she hasn't posted since July 2020 - or maybe she got bored of that character and has reinvented herself with a new account? Or maybe she really did die of Covid and instructed her brother to break the news.Might be controversial to post this, but does anyone think this person was a troll?

When I die, I don't think any of my family would think about announcing it anywhere online, let alone on an obscure thread on an obscure forum. Or if they did, they'd likely get the response "RedMagnolia? Who the duck is she?"
I'm thinking so... I only read the last dozen or so posts... The thing that struck me was despite being hospitalised with Covid (I presume) she was together enough before she went into hospital to write down all her passwords for social media sites should anything happen to her? Seems a bit fishy to me.
I've had covid and believe me, the last thing on my mind was updating social media. It is most unpleasant.
A healthy 32yo dying of covid is rare too, I'm sure it would have made the local papers at the time.

i just said i no longer want my username to be any part of your forum, and i do not want my details left for any moderator to abuse, i then said any fraudulent scam emails that i get will always make me wonder where they come from and if i get in touch with the police your forum will be the first place i will say has my details without permissioni was furious at them and hammed it up, but i have seen another couple of deleted user next to posts so i think they might do it as normal now , apparently some things are left behind , this was the email i got

I'm sure i could press it further as their legitimate business interests isnt my problem , neither is retaining my IP address to regulate their forum , but i'm not sure on the law with those , tbh it still sounds like they have no rights , but i'm just happy for my username to not be on their forum
I think i was angry and thinking that i dont want any of the trolls thinking they had won and got rid of me with being banned , at least deleted user shows i deleted it by making up my own mind
That was a few days ago now , and looking back i dont care now, that was the trouble with DS , nearly everytime i used it i would stop posting getting worked up because some idiot was being pedantic , looking to score points over your post etc... its feels like 75% of the users now have no interest in chat about the subject on the thread , they just want to bait or get one over you on your posts, so i just wanted gone so i was not tempted back to posting in a few weeks

Might that have been when the new platform combined every banned/deleted account into "system"
I have two old accounts that I deleted. One got almagamated into the "system" profile after the vanilla update and the other shows me as banned even though I wasn't.
Didn't realise she had "died" I always thought of her as a troll when she was posting in GD. She always reminded me of how a man pretending to be a woman would talk.
There used to be a young female Dr on DS who suddenly died and her brother (I think) also posted about her death.
The name Stephine, Stephenie, Steff or something like that popped into my head. This was years ago.
I'd forgotten that she died. I remember DippyDi from the depression thread. I never got any troll vibes off her there. Still, you never know on the internet.
Didn't a DS member loose her brother, only for herself to pass away some time later?
I think women noticed it more due to how she was always describing her clothing or eating. It always made me think of an old fashioned porno.
Lots of posts removed regarding Piers Morgan and Prince Nicebutdim and his wife Princess Icanwalkonwater, lots of personal attacks on others members are allowed more these days certainly if your not in the WOKE brigade and dare post something that triggers irrational anger in the snowflakes.
What I don't understand about social media is why people make it personal, if you don't agree with a posters viewpoint thats fine, debate is healthy but some can't stick with that, they make attacks on the individual and not their view.

I can only remember her posts in the depression thread. I don't know if I ever saw her other posts.

I’d like to know whether jjwales ever used to actually post anything worthwhile when they first joined, otherwise I’m struggling to understand how they have such a high post count when all they do is ask “Source?” “Really?” “Link?” “Proof?”
I always remember them as, when I eat ice cream and a little dribble of icecream runs down my mouth, or, when I slowly unwrap a chocolate bar, or, I love running my hands up my stockinged legs, or, when your blouse unbuttons and your new black lace bra peeks out.

Out of interest, does anyone have any stats on DS and it’s traffic now compared to.. say about, five years ago? I can’t remember who said it and it must have been a fair few pages back now but someone mentioned DS is probably busier than Tattle. I didn’t give it much thought at the time but thinking about it now, I’m not sure if that is true. Going by the “live” posts constantly updating upon refresh here and seeing the number of registered active users (and then the additional unregistered guests visiting) this site seems a lot busier to me. But i guess it’s hard to tell because DS doesn’t have the same features that show how often threads are updating. a quick glance at their forums main page suggests threads aren’t as active as they are here but there are more sub forums spread out. Hard to say I guess but I’m curious if there’s a way to find out.
