I think if you belong to a couple of other forums it sticks out a mile that something is amiss on DS. That's what I think anyway. I've been on DS for 10 years and another forum for 17 and I'd never, ever had so much as a warning on either of them and then the last 18 months on DS I'm one step away from a permanent ban!

There have been some very creepy posters on DS over the years. I remember a thread in about 2010 with some bloke who strongly implied it was fine for grown men to sleep with young girls once they'd started their period.

What a group of clowns, they tune into radio presenters that they can't stand in order to spout their own bile, pretending that it's relevant to what they are hearing on LBC.
This thread has just become a personal one for like-minded posters to agree with each other about their opinions. I note that many rarely post in the Politics forum as they they feel safer where they can all slap each other on the back as to who has found the most
And still the mods allow this. However, not surprising if at least one of the regular posters is a mod.
I think I know who you're talking about. If I remember rightly, he lived in Hull. He was obviously looking for some kind of girlfriend, kept asking for a pic and sent one of himself. We didn't correspond for very long ...
Speaking of creepy posters, does anyone remember a user called CobaltMale? He used to end all his posts with 'G'.
And Dan_CBBC who used to be obsessed with finding the backing music of a CBBC show

Snowy, mikw, bangla etc have created their own chamber in the lbc tit-chat thread, after being on the receiving end of warnings in Politics.
Outsiders aren't tolerated in their clique now, even relatively harmless posters like Martin R.
I think Bangla may well be a mod.
I just had a look and I see SierraMist is getting into a bit of an argument with PeterY100.
I like Peter. He knows what he's talking about (he has said he has a scientific background) but he takes a more balanced approach than a lot in that thread.
He/she might like to pop into the LBC thread on DS if they do as of the remaining people there several seem obsessed with the topic.
me too after 10, i was glad it says deleted user, makes me very happy to see, i did ask last year and they had to cheek to say they keep the profile up with BANNED next to it, no chance i'm having petty people like whedonit she was the one who got rid, looks better with deleted user on it, i bet more people will do it now

I am also a banned poster after many years. I'm not happy about it but I don't mind my profile now showing red. I have a good idea who the posters were behind it. At least I have found this forum instead and it is far more liberal than what DS has become.
I'm not sure 'Deleted User' showing under a profile is any better - Banned or Deleted - either way you can no longer post on DS. Does it really make a difference who does or doesn't know?

How did you get them to delete your account? I asked for them to delete my information under the “right to be forgotten” rule from the GDPR legislation however they said they would refuse this request as they have a need to keep the information?!? He had a forum crush on Safi74 and when she got together in real life with GDman (?) he had a proper meltdown. He's 40ish, unemployed, lives with his dad and possibly an incel too.
Not possibly, he most certainly is. I believe he is in his 50s though not 40s
Blimey, that's even worse. I heard he'd turned into something of a real life stalker from a regular DS poster but I'm not sure how true that is. His poor old dad, he's probably given up all hope of his son ever leaving home. Imagine having an adult child still totally dependent on you for everything. He blames his dad for a lot of his issues.
Might be controversial to post this, but does anyone think this person was a troll?
