Mods on forums throughout the land have started shaking and perspiring perfusely at the prospect of some of DS hardcore left wing loons finding their way here.

The closing of General and politics does prove that there is no inbetween now when it comes to forums no matter how hard you try the woke culture means you cannot give a balanced view that doesn't upset one or the other and just banning people who have a different view is no longer an option.

How will we know? Most of us change our names. I know I did, although I'm not that bothered about anyone knowing my DS handle. It was more a case of being bored with having the old one for 17 years!

We'll know. Some people just can't help themselves and writing styles often give it away anyway.

First post here, although I signed up a few days ago. So hi one and all. I recognise quite a few from DS.

I think maybe, at last, complaints have reached people higher up in the Hearst group, and they've been made aware of what a cesspit the politics forum is. I suppose they are closing GD too because the cesspitees would move there if they didn't, like they've taken over the LBC thread.

Anyway, I'm glad I had already signed up here, but I think a lot more will be joining up now.

Sierra's comments earlier were uncalled for but not unexpected sadly. He/She along with a few others on the Covid thread seem to think that they are in charge of the pandemic response in the UK. I see they are already back to "Everyone thinks that it is over. I was out and saw other people out Ahhhh!!" rubbish.

On the plus side it seems Tanya is keeping herself busy in the Royal threads which is good because it means other threads can carry on for a while without her walking in all dressed up in her finery and talking about her sex life.

The last time I mentioned DS mods here I received a ten day ban over nothing so whatever way it works TL is being monitored by DS.

HockyRorror has it right, there is no middle ground, you either go with the majority view or get attacked by the pack and when they complain you get suspended or banned...thats not a good way to operate and to make it worse 'they' think they are in the right when in fact all they are doing is feeding on hate.

Rude and also crude, but who is going to report him? After all the fuss made of 'Discussions' counts, when genuine alerts should be made to the mods, who's going to do it now when still active posters are accused of being a snitch?

That's the reason why I haven't reported him.

The thing is at one time I wouldn't even have considered it. I'm not that precious but the way the site operates these days and watching the way the LBC thread was decimated by FM's getting banned left, right and centre ( or should that be right and centre ) I've started to look at posts very differently which is why I hardly post now. That's not fun and not the way it should be.

I am one of the many banned posters who have also now found Tattle - so much better! I still don't understand what the DS Discussion counts mean. Yes, you have flagged a post to the mods, but that could be for many reasons, yet it now seems to mean you want a poster banned. Thank goodness I'm no longer part of that as it seems very divisive.

I have got no issue with people using the report feature legitimately but there are some who are blatantly using it at the drop of a hat. Tanya for instance has amassed over 100 reports in a matter of months. You don't get a report count that high unless you are very thin skinned or deliberately baiting people to get them banned.

Wow, the cancel culture brigade have really upped the anti on the D.S. Steve Allen thread. Just catching up the posts tonight and it looks like the infiltration is complete. Another thread they don't like subverted. They'll be pulling ranks with establishment bodies high up next to have him removed using the current climate of pseudo hate speech and the right not to be offended. I suspect his days may really be numbered now.

I saw that. It's pathetic. They've got tired of trying to get Nick Ferrari sacked so now they've turned to Steve Allen.

It used to be an appreciation thread until one of the chosen ones decided otherwise. Just the same people trying to enforce their opinions on everybody else as per.
