Well whoever Tanya is, it's suspicious that they signed up to DS and immediately started posting like they had been there for years

Some of her posts about her personal life make me think I'm reading a novel, something doesn't ring true

I was doxed on DS by someone who managed to find my Twitter account and uploaded a screen grab of it. At the time I still had a photo of myself on my profile and it had quite a lot of identifying information on it, such as where I live etc. It was really unnerving and I have no idea how they managed to find me because I’d never linked to it. I reported it to the mods because I felt it was so invasive, and although they deleted the post the member got away with it without so much as a temporary ban!

The reason this poster did it? We had been arguing about Big Brother housemates!

Apparently there's debate on the politics forum, who knew. I must gave missed any debates, all I've ever seen is any debate shut down by throwing far right, Nazi, racist at anyone even remotely showing any support for any government policy. Even so much as stating you understand why people voted Brexit or for the Tories is enough to be branded far right.

We are making some changes to Digital Spy Forums. In the coming days we will begin rolling out updates that will bring the forums more in line with our editorial website and help refocus our discussion platform.

Starting this week, we will begin making changes to the forum index by updating, archiving and adding to our discussion boards.

We will be putting three of our existing forums into read-only mode. Showbiz, General Discussion and Politics will no longer be listed on the main forum index and will be moved to our new Forum Archive. Forums moved to the Forum Archive will no longer be active and will not be able to receive new threads or posts, but they will still be accessible to read and search.

A new Streaming forum will be added to our TV category. This will be the new home for discussion surrounding every show, movie and original available on all streaming platforms. Right now these discussions are largely spread across UK TV Shows, US TV Shows and Cult, Sci-Fi and Fantasy TV Shows — by creating this new forum we hope to consolidate these discussions and bring focus to all of this content in one place.

We will also introduce new dedicated forums for Married at First Sight and RuPaul's Drag Race.

Chatter, which currently sits as a sub-forum in General Discussion, will be rebranded The Games Room and sit next to Advice on the forums index page.

Online Entertainment Services, which is currently listed on the main forum index, will become a sub-forum in the new Streaming forum.

We will also be creating a new Forum Announcements forum on the main index that will be a read-only forum for site updates, our Community Guidelines, our FAQ, a changelog and any other necessary information relating to DS Forums from Support.

You will also see quality-of-life improvements and updates in relation to forum names, descriptions and other areas of the forum as we continue to evaluate the community and refocus our platform.

I have never said anything in here I wouldn't have said to certain DS members 'faces' so I don't care if they read it or not. I couldn't tell them on DS because I'd have got banned. (obviously )

I tried for ages to interact with a couple of extreme posters on the classic soap threads but they actively ignore me unless I make a mistake of any sort, but they happily chat with other posters (who are friendly to everyone). Totally ignorant people.

It really shouldn't be like that on a a thread about a soap opera.

Well, interesting development. I said in another post here on TL that the DS mods watched what was posted here and within an hour of my last post here found this when I went to log in LOL No email, just banned. When the mods read this please feel free to get flucked

Tattle is more diverse. At present we have another negative Meg and Hazzy thread, a group hug thread for fans of the promo interview and this one on DS, all ticking along pretty smoothly.

The thing with Meg is this. No matter what her racial background, both real and “identified as”, she possesses the one attribute that trumps all of that. Which is of course physical beauty which tends to open all the doors. Certainly not many mingers get cast in Hollywood, unless they’re “character actors”! And based on this I seriously doubt she’s actually experienced any sort of personal discrimination outside of reading third party accounts. If Meghan Markle has ever visited a supermarket in a hoody and had people stare at her askance like she was about to commit an armed robbery I would happily eat said hoody.

She married a prince FFS, lives in a $30 million mansion, and has just become stinking rich from Netflix to produce what I wager will be almost unwatchable preachwoke victimporn tv. I get that money and power doesn’t necessarily bring happiness, but they sure as hell bring a more comfortable form of misery! She reminds me of celebrities on social media during lockdown, crying in front of their swimming pools or pissing off to Dubai because of “ma mental health”. Get a serious grip fuckface!

Anyhow rant over! As you can possibly tell I have an anger inducing hangover this morning.....

It has already happened since the DS announcement. However, I have only seen Dogs and AV mentioned so far and thankfully not TL ... yet ...

We will be able to spot whedonit and the like a mile away, I left DS to get away from all those type of people, I hope they don't turn up on here

Such a shame that a DS poster who also posts here, is now openly telling people to come here. That said, with posters now changing their original DS usernames to piss off FMs, we will never really know who is who.

Why do people always say this? There are plenty of us who are not banned, we just come here to discuss what is happening over on DS (I only deleted my account today). Yes, you will get some daft comments on here but that's no different from DS or anywhere else really.

I still liked posting on DS for the most part, well ...something was keeping me there anyway, but over the last few years it has become a shadow of it's former self. It's just not as fun as it used to be. There were a handful of posters who got on my wick and some I wouldn't like to meet in "real life", but for the most part I think people were okay there. I think the moderation in the last few years is really what lead to it's decline. Too heavy handed over certain topics and inconsistent. That and with major platforms like Facebook traditional forums are not as big as they once were anyway.

I can see DS closing altogether in the next few years. A shame really, but that's life.
