To add some positivity here, who are/were some DS posters that you liked?

I never agreed with him but I respected GreatGodPan. He was true to his beliefs and was an argumentative fucker but he was always courteous and informed. This was despite being constantly baited. He did have a tendency to ignore direct questions though.

It was a shame he was banned for Brexit wrongthink.

Not really been on DS its all so repetitive and boring. Gone are the giggles and belly laughs, I kept hoping they would come back but because of the strange moderation we are left with people who don't seem to have any sense of humour and would gladly stamp it out of you.

If they gave an amnesty and changed admin then maybe DS could recover. but as it is all the main posters are boring or like walterwhite who adds nothing to the forum except trying to bait others into a ban. Try saying anything other than the narrative there and you are jumped on until you give up posting on a thread.

I think as long as people don't carry over beefs from DS it will be fine here. Most seemed to be getting hoovered up by the AV forum anyway. Fun times ahead for them!

That's why I came here. The idea of getting away from Meso, CRM etc is the way to go I feel.

I have got no issue with people using the report feature legitimately but there are some who are blatantly using it at the drop of a hat. Tanya for instance has amassed over 100 reports in a matter of months. You don't get a report count that high unless you are very thin skinned or deliberately baiting people to get them banned.

I thought Tanya was a bot - She has lived a life that could only be written about in a trash novel - nothing realistic but if it really is, why post it on an open forum? Either way makes no sense apart from being a Diva troll.

I fully agree, too many posts and too many alerts in just 9 months, I say again, s/he is a bot or just a sad person living out their fantasies.

What did you hope to achieve? No wonder FMs say genuine alerts are not taken notice of when you and maybe others had a good laugh at spamming the mods just for the sake of it.

i had a personal issue with the mods, i caught them lying over posts i had made, they said i posted things that i never and i had screenshots , they thought deleting them would make it easy , so for me reporting the trouble makers was my way of showing the mods i knew what they were doing.

Believe me over the last 2 years i had proof of the mods not taking action anyway, so its nothing to do with genuine alerts werent taken seriously , they would ignore certain reports on certain FM's , the posts i reported were genuine rule breaks, after testing out my theory i thought fuck it, i will spam the report button

Believe me i had screenshots of rule breaks over the last year that i reported and nothing was done , and i was then warned over a same rule break they ignored when i reported it , if the mods on there were regulated i had enough to get some sacked, but they arent regulated by anyone so the mods do what they like , so i ended up doing what i like before i got bored.

Its not me thats to blame, the mods are to blame, they have ignored genuine alerts over responding within seconds when they get a woke alert, its the way its run thats the problem , not FM's like me they took the piss out of

I think she is who she says she is. Otherwise whoever is behind that account has has been remarkably consistent. I don't doubt that her stories are a load of bullshit though.

I agree, I still think she is a female, but posts a fantasy/wannabe lifestyle. TBH, if we believe what she posts, why is she on DS in the first place? Surely her life is far too interesting to spend so much time on forums.

Genuine question, why did you join TL if you don't have any problems with how bad DS has become over the last few years?

I still post on there regularly so something keeps drawing me back. It's easy to look back on things with rose tinted glasses but I still liked it better several years ago. Not sure what changed.

IMO, it's the inconsistency of fair moderation in recent times.

Another DS refugee here! Shame to see the end of a very long era at DS, but then again the decline has been evident for some time and was/is clearly beyond repair. Biggest shock for me was when the moderators supported blatantly racist comments made towards me, by banning ME for two weeks. They can stick their forum and their ban-hammers up their asses.

I'm sure - one of our teachers told us that the reason black people have white palms and soles of their feet is that God ran out of the liquid to turn them white and just had enough left for those areas - but it's not acceptable now and hasn't been for many, many years.

And I'm not trying to get into a debate about it - I was just answering a question (not sure if it was genuine or just to stir up trouble to be honest)
