I think the best you can hope for is they change your user name, anonymise it.I'll join in the crowd to beat them down.
I've just emailed them and given them 14 days notice of referring them to the data commissioner if they don't delete every trace of my long banned account, including all posts that quoted mine.
My argument is that I don't want a username I use to be associated with a platform which encourages intolerance and hatred.
I don’t suppose you’d like to PM what you sent them so I can send similar? Last time I asked them they refused.I'll join in the crowd to beat them down.

I would but I don't know how to....I don’t suppose you’d like to PM what you sent them so I can send similar? Last time I asked them they refused.
Do they even know it exists? There will come a day when DS is no longer seen as profitable for Hearst.
Is it profitable for them now? The ads are so intrusive I can't believe that anybody wouldn't use an ad-blocker on the site. There will come a day when DS is no longer seen as profitable for Hearst.
I use what is considered “old” tech and there are two things I actively stay away from. Articles with a load of embedded Tiktok videos (I don’t know what it is about that app that doesn’t affect my computer like YouTube, Twitter or Facebook videos do, but there’s something in them) and the Daily Mail website. Impossible for me to navigate through either smoothly.I always use an ad blocker on DS. I've also stopped reading the articles on DS too because they're so many of the have some sort of message or pc angle.
The worst site to use without an ad blocker by far is The Daily Mail. Absolutely no idea how anyone looks at that site without one. Horrendous. Obviously having adverts generates income but it's counterproductive if you don't read the site in the first place because of the ads.
i4u is a nut looking to take offence at anything and anyone. Latest target is Steve Allen.i4U is an argumentative ****
So many angry people on DS.
Yes, i4u seems to have crept over to the Steve Allen thread from the main LBC one and is causing misery there now too. All negativity and cancel culture poison. I don't think they've realised that the Steve Allen brand is just for entertainment and gossip column scandal.i4u is a nut looking to take offence at anything and anyone. Latest target is Steve Allen.
RichC is another one, who occasionally appears in the LBC Shit-Chat thread to join in with the chip-on-both-shoulders gang.
It never used to be that bad. You could hold conversations and express yourself freely without being aggressively challenged over the most mild observation. I don't post there now (banned!) but I was finding myself watching everything I said and expecting a warning email from the mods because somebody had managed to find something to complain about. Is it just me or is the posting style there always aggressive & confrontational? I don't know why everything is so angry all the time and why people are so wound up if someone says something they don't like? I have to wonder what many of these folks are like in real life. Obviously politics & general discussion attract nutters but some people act so uptight over reality TV FGS.
We don't agree on everything 100% here but it's never aggressive and I've never felt bad after posting on here (or any other non DS forum), whereas I quite often got a bit flustered after a DS disagreement.
Before I was banned after many years, that thread had always had lots of disagreements, but no way like the aggressive confrontations you rightly mention. I suppose it doesn't help when you have a Teflon 'leader' who protects all his little minions as they agree with every word he says.Is it just me or is the posting style there always aggressive & confrontational? LOL, déjà vu. Still there before meIt never used to be that bad. You could hold conversations and express yourself freely without being aggressively challenged over the most mild observation. It didn't happen. Either he received a warning so could only lurk but not post. I doubt it though when he manages to get away with what he does, or he's working up his spittle to do a major splatter later in the week.Probably saving it all for Nick Ferrari tomorrow.
