thank you 🥹💓 also I agree, LV is one of the most obvious brands to spot a fake from. I feel like they’re just so obvious!

I’ve got my orans out today, and they’re so comfortable. I had so many blisters the first few times I wore them, but they’re great now!

Side note, what does everyone think of goyard? 👀 I’m obsessed with this green 💚 does anyone own a goyard bag?

I have the Artois. I wanted a zip on my tote. I use it everyday. It has kept its shape. It’s in black & tan.
I also purchased a green card holder. I ended up hating it and I gave it to my husband as I found the colour very masculine and hard.
Go to the London store and go very early ( opening time) otherwise there’s a queue.

wasn't expecting the goyard st louis to be reversible! love the bright colours too

looking at sunglasses and would love some opinions - never think any suit me bc i have quite a round face so don't have a go to shape.
torn between:

longchamp (thin gold frame, square)
isabel marant (tort frame, bigger and slightly squarer than classic wayfarer)

Second ones are gorgeous...I actually kind of want them now...

I'm debating buying another basket bag. I already have the big Celine one in tan which I wear as a beach bag with tan Orans, but I find the problem with holidays is sometimes I want a tan accessory theme and other times black. So I realised I don't really have a nice black theme bag. What do you all think of this one? I don't really like Chloe much as a brand and not sure on the leather look but the size is nice and it looks quite cute. Very open to other suggestions!

I really want to get my other half a pair of off white trainers for his birthday this year, but unsure on the fit - anyone have any advice with sizing at all?

Yes, I got my Jimmy Choo Rome sneakers from here about 20% off the actual price. They came quickly and I had no issues :)
Thank you, this gave me the confidence to send the order! Fingers crossed I have the same experience. The bad reviews were mainly about sending stuff back that didn't fit and as it's a bag I'm hoping it won't be an issue...

ordered the marant ones! thought i'd said originally (1am brain ) but they're both on tkmaxx so if they change my life and i suddenly become a sunglasses girlie i'll think about the longchamp ones too

These ladies are paid poverty wages and treated really badly trust me (not Astrid in particular as it’s not a luxury brand), but similar from others
What’s a poverty wage? 🤔 I work for a heritage designer brand and not paid close to a poverty wage (top 10%) and have never been treated badly. Actually, the least toxic place I’ve ever worked.

I’m no where near the top, there’s about 5 people above me if you include CEO 🤣 . It’s one of the big luxury brands you guys talk about on here, (dont want to name for obvious reasons).
I know fashion has a bad rep for taking advantage of people, especially with internships, but not in my experience at all, better than when I worked for non-fashion brands tbh.

I’m talking about there being fifty people above me including CEO 😂 so sounds like a small team! That’s really interesting though, not diminishing your experiences! Proves it’s not all bad ❤

I mean the layers i report into, not counting everyone who is above me because I’d have no clue 🤣 it’s around 20k employees, but yeah. Sorry just hate the ongoing bad rep. I’m really happy and would totally recommend it if the opportunity came up.

Genuinely interested in your role! What can you tell us without being too obvious? It sounds ace!
I thought that maybe @soph30 was referring to the first level of employee, maybe the SA’s? They probably work on a lower basic with high commission structure?

I can’t speak for SAs but I know the store managers can easily be on £60k. But I hear it can be very stressful?

I wont say much about my role but now I’ve outted myself🤣 will say some stuff about the industry that I thought was interesting. Some of you might know this already (sorry) but I didn’t when joining

  • A lot profit is from outlets, around the same as owned retail stores and website combined.
  • 1/3 of orders use Klarna / Afterpay , so yes, a lot is paid for with debt.
  • Accessories (non bags or wallets) and fragrances are licensed and the majority of what you buy are all made by the same few large suppliers. I.e luxottica make sunglasses for prada, Chanel, Ray Ban / Superdry underwear are made by the same people who make Calvin Klein’s.
  • Some online concessions are fulfilled by the brand.
  • We do get a really good discount and regular sample sales but people don’t really walk around like they’re in a IG reel / fashion show, you just see the odd item here and there.
As for fakes, don’t really have an opinion. I did have some kids shout at me really cocky that I had a fake. I think I just look too young to afford it or theyre in a gen where fakes are so common (you even have influencers being sponsored by these fake sites on social media now). but I really couldn’t care tbh.
