I agree with a backpack. I got a company issued laptop last year and it was the perfect excuse to buy the Montsouris I'd wanted for years, the GM just about fits it in, though it doesn't have a slot.

Hello, I’ve been lurking on this thread a while and hope some of you knowledgeable ladies can help me. I’ve just got a new job (my dream job tbh 😄) and I have been thinking of what I could get to mark the occasion. There’s no rush, but I had thought about some nice loafers or a belt or a tote bag.

Anyway, I’ll also need a lanyard for the first time, and it got me wondering, is there such a thing as a “nice”/designer lanyard? Not that I’d want it to be covered in logos, but just something a bit special.
Thanks in advance!

I’m not sure on the lanyard question as I’m not an accessories aficionado (but someone will soon be along who is!) but congratulations on the new job 🎉 Definitely a reason to splash out on something beautiful 👌🏼

Probably not the real deal (but who knows - base marks would indicate pre-2007 with the Vero cuoio on) but got for my friend in a charity shop yesterday (I am absolutely not of the foot size for such wares 😆). Stitching etc all looks good so if they are fakey then they're decent ones lol

Semi-affluent area (I've had Birkenstock & North Face from there before) but £7.50, who cares 😆 its run by older persons too. She always wanted a pair so...here ya go love.

Seems underpriced? :) but for charity so who cares I guess

Yeah I know, I meant from the charity shop :) 👠
May not have known the brand, even if dupes they sell higher so my friend is super chuffed (I am super sad that I have absolute boat feet and couldn't get a toe in)

Which one would you choose? Black is probably the most sensible and even though I love the navy one it’s “big” for me as I tend to use smaller bags.
I’ll be honest I need to be talked out of buying the bubblegum blue 😅🥴😩

Sky blue by a country mile - I can relate to finding it difficult to move away from classic/neutral colours but honestly you’ll love that bag so much more as it’s what you actually love not what you “should”, it’s fun, and will always feel like a you item so get used more and for longer to boot.

The navy is best left unspoken about - that bag looks like it would be a regular on the Trump rally circuit.

I just needed one person to say do it! I’m doing it!
Especially now that I can’t unsee the Trump 😂😂😂

Not to be a downer but the blue will get dirty more easily if it's an everyday bag
However BUY it if it speaks to you :)

I’m glad you didn’t take offence to that lol. Enjoy it - you’ll always think omg I’m so glad I trusted myself with this colour! 💪🏻

Had a v similar thought process this week re black - weirdly as this is new managed to spot the puffy Mulbery tote I won’t buy new from them because of Mike Ashley’s % ownership on Vestiaire - but in black not a similar sky blue to yours which is what I liked! 😫 Timing wise it’d be the perfect present to self to celebrate something so thought maybe it’s a sign, no it’s not, have left it. Will just buy some cute stationery to celebrate instead. Hopefully the seller shoplifted it off him lol.

Which is exactly what my partner said 😅

But I’ve bit the bullet and bought the blue! I’m always sensible and buy black or dark brown in leather bags but I just thought “duck it”

Yeah duck it, I REALLY didn't want to discourage you- you'll be more careful with it! Things you have to take care of are so much better :)
