hey ladies!

I would like to buy myself something nice to celebrate getting a new job, but I have no idea what would fit my criteria. I'd like something that's maximum 600 dollars, holds it's value at least and that I can wear for decades to come.. so maybe jewelry? also I'm really into quiet luxury or something that can be a bit invisible.

What about a gorgeous pen? I keep a stunning pen in my wallet. It was a gift, I’d never have bought it myself. It gives me a thrill whenever I use it!

I’m not one to advise on jewellery but how about something like a small wallet or card holder. This one from Celine is nice and I think the Chanel classic card holders are around £500ish.

Guys…I bought this Chanel lip balm and the logo is a bit 🥴 would you complain about this? It came beautifully packaged with samples but I’m a bit disappointed with how sloppy the logo is! Am I just being fussy?
That’s horrific! I bought one a few weeks ago and the logo is perfect! I’ll take a photo later for you so you can compare. Defo complain!

Thanks guys! I’ll call them tomorrow, honestly I’m so upset 😂 my husband said it looks fake ☹ I just can’t believe it. I thought I was being crazy haha, I’m glad other people see it too

do you know If they hold their value? are they something worth investing in that you can resell later if needed?

No they definitely wouldn’t, especially if you’re using it they’re going to get as trashed over time as any card holder or purse inevitably does.

If you need something that holds its value I wouldn’t recommend going for small leather goods or accessories at all tbh. Someone else has already said but I’d definitely visit a jewellers - but even then you’ve got to be careful re resell as apparently most rings are just weighed in for gold and carats as the appetite for preloved jewellery varies. Vintage fares better for obvious reasons and you can buy some lovely and really unique vintage (Victorian especially!) pieces. But if you’re worried about resell I’d be tempted to just pop the money in a SSISA or something (even a regular saver yields 7% atm).

Could anyone recommend a bag around the £1k mark? Ideally evening bag, but to be honest any bag at this point. Running out of time to tell the bf what I’d like for my birthday

I’ve looked ALL over, and just can’t see anything at this mark anymore. Was thinking my best bet might be going to Bicester for a bargain but it’s so far so want to avoid doing this if poss

I love Balmain for cheaper bags

Here’s the lid of my lip balm (a bit more spruced up looking than yours!!)
Omg it looks perfect! Thank you for sharing, I’ve emailed them about mine, hopefully they get back to me soon 🤞🏼

seems like their quality control is shocking though. I wanted to order a few more bits, but unsure if I should now

I ordered mine on Boots (online). It arrived in a cute Chanel box, but there weren’t any nice samples like you got. I’d be hopeful of a professional response from them re your lip balm. Your photo shocked me!

I then popped into my nearest department store who stock Chanel beauty and bought a retractable makeup powder brush there. They couldn’t have been nicer, gave a few free samples and I love the brush! Good luck with sorting out the lip balm and do please keep us posted!!

See, I was so close to ordering from boots but I wanted the cute samples 😂 I’m tempted to get the Dior lip oil as well. I usually get the lip glow balm and the maximisers, I haven’t tried the oil yet! Plus I know the quality at Dior is much better

thank you! I will do x

[email protected] email the CEO of boots as their standard customer service are absolutely useless. My dior lip oil went missing, didn't care. Emailed CEO office...replacement sent immediately and arrived the next day. The original never did lol (I got a perfume sample in my order)

The oil is ok but the longevity isn't great for the price tbf (and boots lost my first order lol)
