think I’m gonna request the celine Triomphe bag, but stuck between the classic rectangle shape or the new rounded ones they’ve brought out? 🤔
Request made me laugh so much 😂 I like the rectangle though.

Ahhh a thread for me 😍
My most recent luxury purchases where an LV capucines with the python handle, and a Rolex submariner (waited for a year on the waitlist for her 😩
Both get used every single day, can’t buy something that expensive and leave it in the wardrobe
I know this probably sounds silly… but how do you get over the fear of keeping things for best. I cannot fathom to use some of my stuff. It is an irrational fear but I just don’t know how to break it.

I was like that with my first LV, barely used her. Then got a new job where I needed a nice bag, so started wearing them to work, then just kept using them over and over again. Now I use a bag every day, and my watch doesn’t leave my wrist ever, even in bed etc

I’m really hard on bags too lol! They sit on the ground etc. defo not babied

is the brand Polene considered luxury? It seems like a brand only pushed by influencers bc they're paid to promote it. the bags are cute but I don't get luxury vibes from it

Hi All!
Not sure if this is the right space to ask but here it goes. I've been eying the Large Mizza Book Tote in beige for a while, I don't have a Dior store near me thus have not had one in my hands yet. Last weekend I saw someone with it on my flight. The bag looked weird (for lack of a better word) - bulging at the bottom and some loose threads... I started wondering if they are lacking in quality and not worth the money... Or it has just been heavily used - like overstuffed and dragged around and that's why it looked like that. I'm OK with some signs of use but don't want any loose threads and deformation to appear quickly...

It’s super delicate embroidery so shouldn’t be thrown around and even when you see it in the store the threads are slightly loose in places, I think that’s just embroidery as it is? It’s not a neverfull, it’s cotton, so it’s not hard wearing. You either have to baby it or be able to suck up (throw away) what you spend on it.

*by loose I mean thread ends, not coming undone. It doesn’t look bad; it looks natural.

Thanks! Loose embroidery would be fine, the bag I saw really had some inch long treads at the top undone and bottom of the bag had lost it‘s shape. I don’t trust myself with delicate things and wanted to ask around :) . When I was not able to afford I thought once I can I’ll get a neverfull and now I am not so in love with it anymore 😣

I have the sweet Alhambra MOP necklace. It’s super pretty and the chain is really light and dainty. One thing I will say though, the chain gets tangled SO easily, it’s really annoying…I wear it a few days a week but not super often, and never in the shower. A lot of people say not to wear them in water or use lotions/sprays near them as the pearl can shrink or deteriorate over time.

i also have the MOP vintage Alhambra 5 motif bracelet, which I just wear occasionally. Tbh I’ve seen mixed reviews. Some people say you can wear them every day and in water and it’s fine, but others say you should avoid it. I might shower with mine next time and see what happens 😅
I did like the plain gold one too- that probably will hold up better.

I am the same like yourself. I think it’s because I never had such luxuries as a child/teen.
Do you feel guilty to have luxuries ? I do.
Once I use my items I put them back in their original packaging and box. If I loose the tissue paper I have a panic attack.

I think we need to retrain our minds and be like @Dilly2022. Carefree. Our items are there to be used.
I feel inspired today.

i had this feeling up until recently. try and put yourself into this mindset where “things are meant to be used; if it breaks or I lose it, there’s a lot more of (product) in this world which I can buy again”. I used to have a binge eating disorder (I’d always finish all of my food no matter what) and convincing myself that If I couldn’t finish the food, there’d always be another opportunity to have the same later. I’ve tried to apply this same logic to everything. what also helps is viewing the product as what it is- for example look at a Dior perfume the same way you’d see a cheaper perfume, after all it’s just a perfume to be used.
i Hope this helped, it’s all in the mindset and money will always come back, memories using a certain bag will never

I have my bags/watches etc insured away from the home via my home insurance, if the worst happens like it’s gets stolen etc, I can just claim for it.
The feeling of walking about with a bag you’ve worked hard and paid for is amazing compared to looking at them on a shelf ❤

I use all my luxury items as much as possible. My Goyard is my everyday bag and gets all manor of tit chucked in it. I figure that to use something is to love it and I get so much enjoyment out of my things (shallow I know) that I couldn't bear not to use them. I really look after things (Chanel lambskin I'm looking at you even though you completely failed me!) and I NEVER put bags on the floor but if something does need repairing or replacing then that's what I'll do. As Dilly says, if you buy things that are good quality they should last.

My Loewe basket bag comes on many a day trip with me 🤣 I absolutely bloody love it so I give thanks to this thread for the enabling of making me want it haha it does go to bed in its dust bag when not in use mind as do my LV key pouches lol

I used my Gucci bags pre selling them everywhere. They'd come on nights out and all sorts plus I wear my jewellery everyday. Yes it will get scratched but why own it to keep it in a box/cupboard.

Is anyone part of the Louis Vuitton Addicted UK Facebook group? I've requested to join twice now but haven't been let in. Can anyone shed light into why this might be? I've had the same issue for a few groups.

I have been for years and years, I’ll check and see if anything’s changed

Think DM Luxe was mentioned on an old thread but she just popped up on my timeline and omg this woman has a LOT of stuff. I feel like she has a lot of pieces that were bought simply because they're Hermes/Chanel. She has quite a few Evelyne bags which don't do anything for me at all!

Saw this today - I think I want it 😵💫

She does have LOADS! I like her, she just doesn’t give a tit. I like how she goes into Hermes in her scruffs without a thought💕
Though I have no idea how she funds it, I know she has a good job but she seems to buy more than sell. Not keen on the Evelyn’s either, she has some nice Chanel’s though.

I think she posted that she works in oil and gas and has no dependents, so it makes sense! I love her collection 😍
