I agree with you completely, there are pros and cons and you have to do your own research and make a decision then. Pregnancy tough enough with this for sure!!!

Thank you must check her out
She’s very balanced and accurate which I like. No sensationalising which seems to be doing the rounds atm. I always wanted the doctors to tell me yes get it or no don’t but they never would so I completely see where a pregnant lady is coming from especially with the vaccines all being so new. Good luck and stay safe mamas.

I asked my consultant about the vaccine and she said she strongly recommends it. She said there is no evidence to suggest it is harmful to pregnant women but there is lots of evidence that shows that covid is dangerous for both mother and baby. The way I looked at it was if I got covid and didn't do everything I could to protect my baby I could never forgive myself.

I was wondering too what she meant by one sided?? At this stage it’s hard to even know what she’s on about?? Vaccine? Covid? Labour? Post partum??Newborns? Breastfeeding?? Injections?? Time to mute her again for awhile I think 🤔

Just to say I'm currently pregnant and any medical professional I have discussed the vaccine with has been EXTREMELY on the fence about it, very much "it's up to you" and as a result I am waiting until post birth. Not one doctor or nurse has said definitely get it. On another thread women have said the same and I just think it's such a worrying and stressful time for pregnant women trying to make the decision.
Same!! My GP told me to wait if I could and the maternity had the “it’s up to you” attitude🤣 of every medical professional I’ve spoken to not one has said outright to get it!

That's so surprising that GPs are on the fence. I spoke to 3 and they all said that without a shadow of doubt if it was themselves or their partners pregnancy they'd take without hesitation. Same with my OB. That's tough when they are not giving clear guidance

From my experience they won't tell you to get it but I've not met one medical professional this pregnancy that's on the fence, def had the vibe it was better to get it which I did

It is not my own insecurities that she brings up. I don't know of you have been through fertility treatment but if you have you will know that you second guess every single aspect of what you do in your life before, during and after. What cosmetics you use, what cleaning products, what you eat, whether you took your injection or pills 2 minutes too early or late, should you have bent down to pick up that pen, whether that twinge is your Godforsaken period coming again, if your womb lining is 0.05mm too little or too much, if the phonecall you will get in the morning will tell you that none of your embryos made it to day 5 blastocysts, if the credit union are going to turn down yet another loan for "home improvement", if you don't chat to work colleagues today because you're so afraid you are going to start crying, if you hear another pregnancy announcement your heart is going to break into a million pieces - again. Denise did 9 IVF cycles and was blessed to have her daughter and really acknowledged that, to then go on and have a natural pregnancy and to state in various ways at various times that is was as a result of journalling, positive thinking and manifesting is just so disingenuous it actually beggars belief. I'm not insecure, I'm incredulous that she thinks it is ok to spout this horseshit having gone through numerous fertility treatments herself!! If she just said it was luck - grand but the bull of this manifestation balls!!!
Just wanted to acknowledge your post as it brought back memories for me. My three year old is here due to ivf and I put some of my experiences at the back of my mind but your post reminded how tit it is at the time. I remember not even wearing nail polish as it was meant to interfere with god knows what. Jeez the things we had to do (women still doing)

Best of luck with your journey whatever stage you are at x

I wish to god she’d shut off her phone and just enjoy her baby bubble while getting herself back to health.

Honestly who exactly does Beth think she is talking too? Does she realise thousands of adults are watching her & not thousands of children. Does she speak to her friends in school like this? That little girl definitely needs more interaction with children her own age and start behaving and playing like a child.

My little boy was very jaundice looking for a couple of months. That can happen with breastfeeding and apparently isnt dangerous.

My child was quite sick with jaundice when they were born - was much darker than him but it took a good few weeks to completely disappear once the levels started to come down. They have a way to measure the levels. My child’s was way over and into the danger zone so needed light therapy.

Jaundice is much slower to clear in breastfed babies but no big deal at all once a trained professional is keeping an eye ☺
