David Walliams

Everyone seems to be focusing on the injunction itself and the fact that it is widely reported on SM that it's him - so folks are saying everyone knows it's him so why is he bothering. But for me, it seems to be a case of WHAT the Guardian and ITN are wanting to publish. Whatever it is would appear to be serious enough that he's prepared to threaten to or actually end his life to prevent publication.

People have been aware of his problematic behaviour for some time so what is in this new reporting that makes it so injunction-worthy?
Is it possible that it must be even worse than what people are aware of?

I thought this too. This sounds like a person who is desperate for things not to come out - its all out about Walliams already.
Or there's much worse to come? By what I've seen, DW's name has been reported in other countries in relation to this injunction - but most people are aware of the sleazy allegations against him already, publishers dropping his books etc - so what are the Guardian/ ITN wanting to publish now?

‘Sexual misconduct against women and girls’ apparently. Interesting it’s women AND girls 🙁

It’s earlier in this thread but a mega fan on twitter was invited backstage at BGT and lord knows what went on but she stated she needed therapy afterwards. She was iirc 16. Not long after she named him her whole account (which had lots of followers and was decently established) was deleted. Couple of years ago I think. Wonder if it’s related.

DW deffo had a super injunction hearing recently so I 100% believe it’s him. I just think he’s wanting to keep the details private, because if it’s CSA, as a children’s book author, it’s book bonfire territory. I genuinely think he’s obsessed with positive attention and to be rightly vilified if indeed the worst comes out, will destroy him mentally if it hasn’t already. Of course, people don’t care about that if he has actual victims out there.

There's a really easy way to avoid people finding out about your crimes and it's not committing any. Of all the reasons I've considered suicide, people finding out I'm a pon has never been one. So I've no sympathy for him whatsoever if it is him.

I wonder if he is an inpatient somewhere to provide legal evidence of suicidal intent. No one seems to be managing his Instagram comments, but then he lost his publicist and team, maybe they would have done that.
I'm sure TRIE said he wouldn't let independent doctors assess whether he's a suicide risk.

I agree, It does seem a bit strange.

I do wonder why he hasn't been charged, surely that would be the best outcome all round, it doesn't sit right that the media are making programs, writing articles instead. He can't exactly say don't charge me or I'll off myself, can he.

Is he even that famous abroad? I can't imagine Little Britain translates well and I know his books were popular here but again not sure they have really been sold abroad.
Can't speak for the rest of the world but he is definitely recognisable in Australia, because of Little Britain and their other shows. Then the (tit) childrens books. Which have sold millions worldwide, apparently.

My husband immediately said why aren’t the police involved when I was telling him about the injunction drama. Maybe they are and we just haven’t heard, or there’s not enough evidence.
