So he's suing because people found out what a dick he actually is?

Hopefully this goes to trial and some of the skeletons in his closet are brought to light. He gives off such creepy vibes

It's interesting, I've listened to French and Saunders podcast and it made me question how close they actually are. There'a bit where Dawn says, "I've been in your house" and refers to some design feature Jen has. That doesn't seem like something you'd say to a close friend? They talk about other things you'd assume they already knew about each other.

There are interviews with Mitchell and Webb where you can tell they're very distant from each other.

Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant openly admit they were never real friends.

I think celebrity friendships are often just a case of "There's always good publicity when I appear in public with that person."
In the case of most 'celeb partnerships' I'm sure they started off on friendly terms, but the effects of fame, big egos, and the sheer amount of time spent together would put strain on anyone's friendship. Got to be honest, I've never liked Dawn French. I get bad vibes from her in interviews. Loved The Vicar of Dibley, but a large part of its success was the really strong supporting cast. Anyway, tangent...

"Further, he admits “there have been times” when he questioned his own drinking. There was Palm Springs when he awoke after a night of apple martinis and saw Drayton had the imprint of a flip-flop on his forehead. Carr had gone wild, he learned, attacked Drayton and ransacked their hotel room."

And also 'hilariously' shoves coriander into the mouth of someone who was allergic to it:

"There are six of us in this photo studio, including Carr’s manager, makeup, wardrobe and a publicist from ITV. He picks up the coriander and stuffs it into the mouth of the woman who said she was allergic. “See!” he declares, triumphant. “You’re not really allergic. If you were, you’d be dead by now.” He cackles. Everyone else cackles. It’s like the canned laughter of witches."
Wtf! No wonder they got a divorce.

Jack Monroe can get in the bin too, such a 🤡
Thankfully she’s finally persona non grata but still hasn’t closed her Patreon so is still getting paid by plebs for “all the good that she does”.

ETA on topic: Walliam’s relationship w his Mother always seemed odd. I don’t think Bitty was too far off the mark.

The girl who posted screenshots about David inviting 16/17 year olds to his dressing room didn't say exactly what happened, but she has been diagnosed with ptsd from whatever he did and she had to attend counselling/therapy. She has now taken down her Twitter account, which I find surprising as she is an 'influencer', so whatever she is being threatened with from David's legal team must be really bad.
I have been following her on Twitter for a few years and remember back in 2016 when she was obsessed with David, he would constantly be replying to and liking her tweets. I just saw it as an innocent fangirl/celeb banter kind of relationship, it makes me so mad to know now that he abused his power as her celebrity role model and traumatised her. It also shocks me that the other judges present at BGT auditions (i.e. Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon) didn't intervene or give a f*** that David was bringing teenagers into his dressing room. Ugh he is such a creep.

Alan Carr is like most comedians, they perform an act and otherwise are not 24/7 fun people, like normal humans. Also most famous and successful celebs especially those that want to be famous are ambitious and ruthless and not really nice (only a rare few).

I've been waiting for the day something broke about him. He's always given me the massive Ick. Can't believe it's taken this long tbh. Those comments are really awful, look I get it we all love a bitch and a moan but not when you are a paid professional at work calling contestants cunts and talking about shagging them.

In the bin you odious lanky tosser.

Remember his name was everywhere when Russell Brand was about to be outed!! I was surprised it wasn't him to be honest. About bloody time but of course there will always be ladies wetting their knickers saying "He's done nothing wrong yada yada" 🤢🤮

The fact that parents have pics of him standing with little kids in that costume absolutely sickens me. Just think of all the other pedos that got a kick out of it too. 🤮😩

Who were enabled because the crew around them were complicit and silent
Very difficult for 'ordinary' people to speak out, in those situations, imo. I bet loads complained about Greggggggggg Wallace or Barrowman, for example, but weren't heeded, or were expected to think their carry on was funny. [shudder]

Those comments are really unpleasant. Such arrogance and contempt. He’s obviously talking to someone though, isn’t he? I wonder what his other judges think of him. Cant believe his first line of defence is that it was a ‘private conversation’. The twat was mic’d up. He didn’t care if crew/production/judges heard. He only cares now they’ve been leaked to the press.
If I was one of the other judges I would have told him to shut the fuck up. Maybe they are just as bad

‘In June this year, it was reported the author made two Nazi salutes during a recording of the Christmas edition of the BBC's comedy panel show Would I Lie To You?.
The comedian apparently 'jokingly' made the salutes while Call the Midwife actress Helen George was telling a story from her time on Strictly Come Dancing in 2015.
The host, Rob Brydon, condemned Walliams and reminded him that the show went out before the watershed.
However, as George continued to explain her Strictly story, Walliams is said to have made the gesture for a second time, this time with a sexual twist.
Walliams's team captain, Lee Mack was said to have looked unimpressed while one audience member revealed the salutes landed 'awkwardly'
.’

I don’t watch Would I Lie To You, was this about something that happened in last Christmas episode or one that’s coming up?

It was widely speculated after she talked it on her podcast that it was Russell Brand as they did one season of celebrity roast and he wasn't on it afterwards. She said in another episode of her podcast that Jo Brand was the only person with that surname that doesn't make her feel morally grossed out
That's interesting. I googled and went down a Reddit rabbit hole. 😬

I saw this about Walliams and his lawyers. Obv it's an anonymous reddit comment so take with a pinch of salt. Still backs up what everyone says about his legal team tho.
