Well not one person in this thread who has met him or knows someone who has anything nice to say. Usually when discussing a celebrity online, even a real shit, you get someone pop up with a positive experience. Or vice versa, the famous person was having a bad day or the fan was the entitled sort ...

But it’s all pretty damning for sleazy mr Walliams...

To me he’s one of those famous people who has never really seemed happy. That channel swim he did was damn impressive, respect to him for that. I don’t think it necessarily makes him a good person tho, even if he did it for charity. It was clearly a personal challenge as these things usually are. If it was just about charity he could have raised or personally donated a similar amount doing something half as difficult.Which is fine, but yeah it’s just annoying when people point to things like that as evidence of being a good person.

I do often wonder if there's some kind of childhood trauma, especially sexual, that helps mould people like David Walliams, Russell Brand etc, into sex addicts and/or deviants.

I didn't realise that DW had a "bipolar" diagnosis. That may come in "useful".
Lack of empathy/remorse points more to a deviant sociopathic PD but depends on how flexible the psych could be with a celeb.

Yeah, coming on to 16/17 year old is grim, but not illegal. He’s sleazy - compering that Presidents’ Club dinner that got so many people outraged but is just one of many tacky business nights out - and it oozes out of him.

Presumably he’s bi but plays up to the camp thing to follow in the footsteps of Frankie Howerd and Larry Grayson, who were family favourites. Maybe that’s why it makes us uncomfortable, because it’s an echo of a suggestive thing that couldn’t be said aloud, which just isn’t true now? We don’t live in an era where a comedian and TV host couldn’t be open about their sexuality but he chooses to play this game.

I’ve posted this elsewhere before but a terminally ill little girl I know went to BGT with a wish making charity. Everyone was lovely to here, especially Simon Cowell, except David Walliams who ignored her. He was her favourite so that wasn’t great.

I've seen him get interviewed a couple of times (by Jonathan Ross I think) and both times I thought he was really immature, rude and a right attention-whore. He wouldn't let anyone else speak and kept demanding to be the ~star~. Can't stand the obnoxious arse.

Seems not having a major award continues to rankle Walliams. Funniest thing I ever saw him in is the edition of Graham Norton's show when he was a guest, along with Tom Hanks and Peter Capaldi. Norton segued from Hanks's Oscar for Forrest Gump to Capadi having won one the same year for his short film Franz Kafka's It's a Wonderful Life, which led to the two very good-naturedly contrasting their Oscar experiences. Walliams tries to make light of it, but you can tell he's burning inside.

I always detested Barrowman, long before I knew anything about him. The only programme I watched that he used to be on was Dancing on Ice and he made my skin crawl.
