He was always a 'what happens on tour stays on tour' type of guy (as was Taylor). This time it didn't stay on tour. It was only a matter of time.
The 'nicest guy in Rock' moniker never meant he was the best husband, but that he is approachable and nice to fans and (most) other musicians.

I honestly can’t believe the identity of the babymamma has managed to stay quiet. There are surely a ton of people who know about it
I don’t think I it was an open relationship myself.
Especially the last few years, and the most recent tour especially having his daughter up performing with him. It seemed very much father daughter bonding, and him letting her enjoy the experience of it all.
She must be absolutely heartbroken to have such a betrayal from her own father
I am not saying they should sue her, but there really should be consequences for that person.
100% She must be in so much pain! His narrative about 'moving forward' is such emotional blackmail too. Disgusting scumbag.
Of course it's the serial cheaters who go ballistic if (they think) the shoe is on the other foot. They want an open relationship that is only open for them.

I think it's pretty clear the the Foo Fighters are not a typical band in the fashion of say Queen, where all members are creatively equal. It's always been Dave's band, he hires musicians he knows will do his musical bidding and who help him achieve his vision. It's not creatively collaborative, Dave tells them to jump and they ask "how high?" He wanted the very best, he got them, but they don't really get a say in the finished product. This was shown with the first drummer being let go, Im sure his version of events was that he felt Dave was stifling his creativity.
I think the article is interesting. I don't think it should be used to prove that Dave pushed Taylor too hard. Taylor was a grown man, he could have said", this is too much, something has to change or I have to leave". It sounds to me like he was letting off steam to his friends about his workload rather than making it official.
On the other hand, the rebuttal by "Foo Fighter management" isn't trustworthy because Dave has proved to be less than a reliable narrator and fully willing to lie to his wife and kids, so he's not going to think twice about saving face and being dishonest with his fans.
Then we have Taylor saying he's working too much, yet he has numerous side projects on the go. Which was it?

I love this spin on it!
Honestly I think the ‘nicest guy in rock’ persona really worked for him and he was good at keeping it up. Most people (men) would find it easy to be affable and polite to people that literally worship them like a god. But behind the scenes he’s no different to the rest of men who cheat the world over- they just need to be entitled enough to justify it and have the opportunity. He has had both these things in spades.
Marriage therapy is a terrible idea with a narcissist or anyone who lies. They just extend their manipulation. I have a female friend where the therapist overtly sided with her ex-husband after they were 'working things through' after an emotional affair. The therapist gaslit her too, and blamed a lack of communication.
Spoiler: he had several physical affairs, still talking to one during therapy, he massively dragged out the divorce to abuse her as much as possible.
I'm sure Grohl thinks this rehabilitates his image. She needs to run.
