Well at least tell him why rather than ghost him!
Oh yeah I don’t ghost, I’ve been on the receiving end of that too many times. In fact this guy when he moved back to London went quiet for two weeks so I thought he’d lost interest

I thought it would get better and he'd be 'less anxious' if we dated long enough. Didn't happen. And men are surprisingly (!) reluctant to seek further help in these matters. Or want to talk about it or address it in any way...
Oh dear this is what i assumed too.. I guess after so long waiting and now a lockdown, i dont imagine its something im going to have to worry about anytime soon anyway 😩

I do not trust such applications, there is a lot of deception and most often it is scary even to start communicating. Be careful. And in general, if you need it, communicate, you can find a lot of interesting people.

A first date about 5 years ago asked me if I liked goats cheese and if I was into Anal, which is why it went no further 😂
Omg. Crazy. That’s like 10th date question no? This is exactly why I’m asking. Surely something’s are off limits

Whats the best way to approach someone you like on FB, should I like his posts, follow him or send a friend request?

Venturing back into online dating in a long time, ready for hopefully post lockdown.

If you have been speaking to a guy for a bit and then he just doesn't reply even though the conversation seems to be going somewhere. Do you double text or just leave it?

Really appreciate all the positive words on this thread! It always feels so important when you're living it, but in the end, I suppose what will be will be. Anything that goes past us wasn't for us. ☺

Guy update on my end - been 2.5 months of dates, I do like him and he's said the same but I don't know what I'm doing, it's been so long still haha.

Like, we talked early on about what we were looking for, agreed we were into slowly getting to know someone and open to a relationship later on after that point. My ideal would be to know someone well, so a period of I suppose casual dating/discovery, and then say 'let's give this a go properly and see what happens'. But when we had a conversation a few dates later, it was a more 'I'm not looking to get into anything serious right now' than that previous conversation. What I'm not sure about is whether that was him saying a) on the same page as me, enjoying dating, potential to become more serious later but not yet, b) enjoying dating, but now has changed his mind & not looking for anything serious at all.

So I don't know. Because I don't want any real different definition/progression at the moment, I would like to just keep getting to know him - so I agree, casual for now - but not forever. Any tips?

How old is he? Could be a lot of different factors, anxiety and depression can be a cause, could be some kind of underlying health problem, so he should go to a doctor to get checked out. He shouldn't be embarrassed about it, it's a reasonably common problem and no doctor is going to judge or care, they'll just want to make sure he is healthy. Unfortunately excessive porn use is also now recognised as a factor in why more men, particularly younger men are suffering from erectile dysfunction, so that could be a factor that he may need to address. But if it's still happening and not getting better then he should definitely try to find out the cause as it's probably going to strain your relationship and cause stress to both of you.
Mid twenties so pretty young still... we had a chat about it today actually and he said that he will speak to a gp about it (unfortunately its a difficult time so not sure how high up on priorities this will be due to covid?). He thinks its an anxiety/confidence thing so potentially just something he needs to talk about but i suppose you cant rule anything out. Its all new to me so i guess we will just have to see how it goes but hes so lovely that im not too worried about it yet and im happy to work through things together... Sometimes you forget that guys can worry about this kind of thing too..
