It may have gone to “requests“ if you’re not following him. Maybe message both xNo because hes not following me you only get a DM notification if you are following each other. his account is public.

To be honest, my current partner suffered this to start with. Time was the only thing that helped, the more comfortable he was around me and the less pressure he put on himself the better. We are completely fine now, zero issues.Mid twenties so pretty young still... we had a chat about it today actually and he said that he will speak to a gp about it (unfortunately its a difficult time so not sure how high up on priorities this will be due to covid?). He thinks its an anxiety/confidence thing so potentially just something he needs to talk about but i suppose you cant rule anything out. Its all new to me so i guess we will just have to see how it goes but hes so lovely that im not too worried about it yet and im happy to work through things together... Sometimes you forget that guys can worry about this kind of thing too..
Do you message him a lot? Some guys don't like that.not sure yet. Was supposed to meet up tonight he answered my message this morning but none since.I shell keep you informed.
Let’s see a pic of himLadies, this might have been discussed already but I’ve just popped onto Hinge after finishing work and I’ve had a match from the same guy for about the 6th time since I joined back in November. I’ve declined him every single time, he’s not my type. How does he keep re-matching me?! I thought once you’d said “No thanks hun” that was the end?![]()
Yeah I get this, too... But weird as well though how many people are like thisI wouldn’t worry too much... I know we are in a lockdown and there’s not much to do on a weekend, but for me, they have gone off the radar over a Saturday and Sunday and then messaged again during the week.
That sounds like a date I went on. It was the kind of walk they you needed to wear walking boots for. I definitely do not own walking boots. I hope your trainers survivedI really want to say that you never know, as opposites attract. But why is there a chicken on him?! Also, I'm so not outdoorsy and went on a date a the beginning of the year with an outdoorsy type. I thought we were going for a gentle stroll and wore some nice trainers. We ended up on an 8km hike in fields of mud and I had mud all the way up to my shins. So perhaps you should avoid![]()
So relieved I’m not the only 1 who doesn’t like campingI agree to all the above, including the hotels!
Also thanks to all who responded to my previous post a few weeks ago. I really appreciate it!
Honestly I couldn’t camp, you’d have to bribe me. Sorry boys I’m a 4 star minimum hotelgal.
To the posters who said about guys not texting etc. I had this on hinge, a guy matched with me, turns out he knew me from university and we had been on nights out/socials together but I honestly don’t know him like that or even well. His face looked semi familiar but that’s all. Anyway we were chatting he was keen to meet, He asked for my Instagram and WhatsApp. He text me, I responded, he text me again, I responded and till today has never read the text. (There’s grey ticks). It is Bizarre AF and super annoying as I agree no one is ever upfront and honest but then they all proclaim to be honest guys eyeroll.
my advice: Wait and see if he texts if not thank you next.
Hope you all had a lovely bank hols. We’re going to be let out soonxx
No I dont think we do.I would just follow him, everyone gets the notifications when someone follows you. If he follows you back that’s a signsounds so childish
do you have any mutual friends that could drop it into conversation? X
'Not in serious debt' I can understand.
A similar thing happened to me. We matched a couple of weeks ago and he asked me if I was free the weekend we matched . I was busy but said we could something the following weekend (the one that has just gone) but I sent that last message on Wednesday last week and he never repliedSo guys, help me out with this one. Started chatting to this guy on Hinge a couple of weeks ago. He then asked for my number and we moved over to whatsapp so that we could arrange a socially distanced walk as we live close by. Really good conversation and bounced off eachother. He was replying to my messages really quickly and then saturday night said ‘so when we going to meet up for our walk’. I replied the next morning saying ‘how about next weekend sometime’. He read this within about 10 mins and then didn’t reply...and still hasn’t replied so it’s been nearly 3 days. I’m a bit stumped - why ask to meet up and then go cold? He did all the initiating and was really chatty etc so very confused. He’s been online since![]()
I don't have personal social media accounts for combination of privacy concerns, job related privacy due to working with young people and cyber bullied years ago and i worried when im ready to start dating it will make me seem shady (if my other traits dont already!)I don't have social media... Like at all. What would you think of that if someone said that to you?
I know this may be an unpopular opinion, but If he was protesting, it was to save the children. Meaning he’s against pedophillia And is standing up for something amazing. The QAnon group is questionable, however I wouldn’t judge him on something like unless you have researched it yourself. If he’s against child trafficking then he sounds quite decent To me. I’m not a QAnon supporter by the way, but I support the child trafficking moment 100%. Good luck with it allHe messaged last night, he nearly got arrested. I’ve just messaged him to say good night but also I’ve asked more about why he went to the protest, just to hear from his side, but I do feel slightly uncomfortable if he does have leanings that way.
I honestly think it's to do with luck and timing and most men on these apps just want a time pass and move on. It is definitely not a reflection on you. It's hard to get negative though and I have done it many times.Pretty sure I'm destined to be single. Haven't managed to get past a 3rd date with a guy in the 2 years I've been on dating apps. The latest we got as far as a 2nd date before he got super distant, asked him about it and he said he's just been busy with work (fair enough also I was pretty relaxed in my questioning didn't approach it in a pushy way but it had been 3 weeks since the 2nd meet) then a week later he said he wanted to cool things off because he's too busy to commit but we can stay friends and maybe date in a couple of months and that he didn't plan on looking for anyone else for this reason. Fast forward to tonight and me being nosey I check his bumble account because we're still matched, he's completely updated his profile so is obviously still using it. Why is being honest so difficult for these men?!
Sorry for the long rant but here feels like a suitable place to rant about it.
So I honestly think I need mr right to just break into my house at this point. I don’t think I can “online date” anymore It destroyed my self esteem and we can’t even “real life date” either really. I don’t feel like going to bars - clubs aren’t open, then don’t want to date someone I meet in a club or bar, can’t see anyone’s actual face due to masks so no flirting on public transport or metros rush hour crush (my life goal), where does anyone even meet a guy now? Covid-19 is running my life you b***h or as Greg James says “up yours corona”.
Am I destined to be single forever?
I can’t keep stalking my “ghost” ex on Instagram for the rest of my life![]()
