The thing is, he isn’t boring at all! 😔 We’ve spoken everyday for the last little while. He did ask to see me Easter weekend but I couldn’t because I’m actually waiting out lockdown at my parents’ in the countryside and was too far away. The last thing I said was actually a question which makes it worse 🤦🏽‍♀️ as it’s not like I left him with nothing to reply to... I guess I’m just gutted because we have a scary amount of things in common and it takes a lot for me to be interested in someone to this extent. I kinda just wanted the opportunity to meet in person because I have a feeling we’d get on, but if we didn’t at least I gave it a shot, you know?
For me personally, I would not message him again. I just base this on experience. Usually when a chat goes cold on their side, it is simply because they are no longer interested. There's never any grand, dramatic reason. Of course, if you really feel that you want to get back in touch then that's entirely up to you 🙂

I read that article but it was more like an advert for their travel Instagram page! But yes, they would send each other food hampers and then sit and eat the contents while on a zoom date! I don't see how it's any different to just chatting on zoom while having a drink.
TBF I've never even done a 'friend' zoom date, only work calls, so the whole socialising online like that is new to me!

I also prefer Tinder because the men can send the first message, but I found on Hinge they would just 'like' me then not say anything, which just felt a bit lazy. On Bumble I felt sometimes like they weren't that interested because of lacklustre responses when I would make an effort with the first message. It's so hard to find a happy medium.

*Disclaimer: I'm no expert!*

If i were in your place I'd give him some time, knowing that he won't stay this busy for too long and based on the fact that he doesn't want to let go/seems like he is genuinely interested. I would want to wait and see where it goes so i don't regret not trying.
My concern is that he said he regrets getting too serious instead of just asking you to bear with him.
I really hope you do what you feel is right🥰

Don’t be scared! I’m in the same position (dumped after 4 years) & although its been tough, I’m really enjoying single life. Covid makes it easier in a way as I’m not forced to be around a bunch of people 😂 I don’t think I’ll be dating for a long time because I want to spend time focusing on myself. But yeah, I’m not looking forward to potentially dating in the future! My view of men is really jaded 😂
Thank you!! Yeah well I think COVID will make it easier as I can keep to myself for a bit longer and focus on myself! But yeah feel the same about dating, especially cause I’ve never really done it

Go on the date! It might make you feel better and give you a laugh. Better yet, you might meet the bloody person of your dreams! Worst case, you might get a bit of rumpy pumpy out of it when lockdown measures relax! Have fun and if you did go, I hope it went well x
Haha thank you! Rumpy Pumpy has made me laugh. He actually cancelled in the end so my date with my dressing gown lived on! I was secretly buzzing hahaha 😂😂

Has anyone ever had a bad gut feeling about going on a first date and cancelled? With no evidence of why you should be cautious, not first date anxiety but just a gut feeling telling you not to go?
Me 🙋🏻‍♀️🤣 I did it literally this morning. Although it wasn’t a first date, it was someone I was seeing a bit last year but then I got with someone else, that all went to shit during lockdown and this other lad has been lurking around in the background ever since waiting for me to become single again. Which is sort of off putting in itself..

@doodlebug I'm in a similiar position at the moment! I have decided to leave it see if he pops up as I know he is often busy over the weekends while I have more time

Although, I'm not that bothered if he doesn't. Yeah bit disappointed as he is good chat, but I'm not too invested in it either

Hey all. Looking for some advice. I jumped into dating a few months ago and I havent had a great experience. Ultimately I found myself going on dates with men from the apps I wouldn’t be attracted to but scarcity mindset convinced me to “give them a chance” and I ended up being insulted, led on, ghosted or stood up.
Most recent experience had really messed with my head and I’ve been very down since.
My question to you all is, should I carry on with the apps and not let my bad experiences ruin my chances of meeting someone OR should I take time out ?
Also, can I just say I’ve been screwed over by men who reminded me more than once they have plenty of women to choose from? I see it myself on social media. Men on dating apps who have 100’s of matches on their friends lists. How can I date someone if this is men’s attitudes these days?

Thanks 🙂

No. I just haven't replied to his last message which was on Friday evening. Urgh! Awkward 😂
What happened with this guy? The one who you watched a video of? 😂

I spoke with someone on the phone last night and knew straight away I am not attracted to them in the slightest.

How do I let them down? I feel bad saying I don't feel the chemistry when all we have had a is a phone call. Arghhh
Oh no. High pitched voice? I’d be a wuss and ghost them 🙈😂
