Ha sorry thought I'd said! Yes crochet. I'm using a 4mm hook so assumed that would be big enough :/ I'll try a 4.5 and see how that goes.Is that crochet? You could try a bigger hook

I love these!I've been going to a little art class for the last few weeks and I've been learning a few new techniques. We've done acrylic painting animals, tissue paper roses and watercolour landscapes. I'm quite pleased with the resultsView attachment 4040453View attachment 4040454View attachment 4040455
I haven't done this myself but I think going this is the way to go. I know that people have found the custom made stamps to work well.I’ve given it a google and it may make more sense for us to use precut stickers on a roll… and a custom stamp? They don’t seem that badly priced tbf and I think the ink on paper will feel more premium than a photosensitive paper thing? Has anyone done this before, wondering if the stamps are too good to be true as they’re really not badly priced?!
How did you learn calligraphy? I'd love to try but get irritated with videosI’m a (very novice) calligrapher and also a wax seal enthusiast![]()
I know that sometimes squares will curl up if you’re not using a big enough hook so I think it should work, hopefully.Ha sorry thought I'd said! Yes crochet. I'm using a 4mm hook so assumed that would be big enough :/ I'll try a 4.5 and see how that goes.
I have struggled to master crocheting for years and hardly managed more than a wonky granny square, but it suddenly just clicked. This pattern was surprisingly simple in terms of the stitch involved but an absolute bugger to put together as it is made as one piece. It is really gorgeous, I am envious! I have attempted to crochet/knit but I am useless.
I've never tried two at a time but I have seen tutorials about it. I agree, it seems likely to get tangled...Wow that’s great stuff. I had heard you could magic loop two socks at a time on a really long needle to save sock fatigue but I haven’t tried it in case I get tangled.
Have you got one of those handheld quilling devices or is that all by hand ? i saw one of the devices in instagramWell the blanket of doom is finally finished. ( Needs washing!)
I’ve never made anything from a kit using someone else’s colour combination before - obviously being a contrary madam I swapped some colours over and did a completely different border. I’m not massively keen, although the person I made it for absolutely loves it.

Aaah I’ve not heard of those.Thank you. I was able to finish work and get my hair cut, and that helped me feel a little better.
I didn't know you could get yarn subscription boxes. I was thinking more like this sort of thing...

Doesn't have to be that one though. I have seen pictures of what people ended up with, a few people had really pretty yarn cakes ( expensive ones but with labels missing or in different languages), or lots of interesting colours and typres, and other people complaining because they got an entire bag of brown yarn.
