I REALLY feel for single people... probably the most. How awful being isolated by yourself, and especially if you were hoping to meet someone for the long term.
Yep. I can vouch for this. I turn 36 in a few weeks and I’ve started to feel like it’s stupid to hope that I’ll ever meet someone and be able to have my own family. It just feels like my window of opportunity has shut and there’s no end in sight. That’s a dark feeling.

But, I will say that Tattle has made a huge positive impact to my mental well-being the last few months, as others have said! 🥰 So that’s a massive plus.

I think the government know this is the last chance they have of a lockdown theres no way they could " release us" like last summer and put us back under. I think they're finally looking at Aus and NZ and realise the huge mistakes they've made ( hence talk of shutting broaders) So they are going to keep this up for as long as they can so when they finally can let us out it will be with much more freedom
than we've had since before covid started and they are hoping people forget what they did. I think this current lockdown will last until mid March.
Despite a 3rd lockdown I WAS feeling very positive the past week or so. Probably due to the vaccine roll out. Things HAD to be better with a vaccine, right? Thinks felt MUCH more normal last summer... So this summer would be even better?

Now I definitely feel as is that hope is slipping away. I'm trying not to read the news or watch the briefings... If the new strains get past the vaccine then I guess, yes we're knackered - until they can be re-worked and re distributed.... But for now at least, by the summer most adults who want a vaccine will have had one - so surely our society can open up again!?

.

Mark cuts his hand with a saw whilst doing DIY, he goes to A&E and has to stay overnight so he can have surgery the next morning. He tests positive on admission. He leaves hospital 18 houra after coming in.

Ah this example reminds me of one of my brothers who managed to shoot a nail through his hand in November. It went right through, glove pinned on. He rocked up to A&E who refused to let him in. Gave him a leaflet and told him to go to a different hospital for minor injuries which was 10 miles away. He turned up there... got sent BACK to A&E and security tried to send him back 😂😳 with traffic all in he was 2 hours trying to just get through the door. All the while a dirty nail through his hand. 🙈😂

I was 40 last year in lockdown, been single since 2016. I had high hopes for last year that I was finally ready to give dating another go, feel like I've spent so long alone now I can never imagine being that close to anyone again now 🤷‍♀️

How odd is it for birds to be tweeting at this time of night 🤔

You're lucky if you can hear that. That sound is so nice. This time last night here was four helicopters overhead. Goodness knows what for. It may have been the stabbing, or maybe the shooting of a minor or maybe moving Covid patients.
Some people don't realise (or comply with) it's lockdown. The roads are so busy on my way to work, nothing like the first lockdown when everything was dead

No tweeting here just silence ... it’s been snowing and it looks so pretty. I miss having someone to dance in fresh snow with but my husband is away till April. It’s hard doing this lockdown alone ... I sobbed when I saw it was extended here in N.Ireland 😔

Snowing here too, they’re still tweeting away. The only other time I heard that was Christmas Eve 2019 I said to the other half how odd it was and we know what followed, hope it’s not another bad omen , it must be hard on your own I think if I didn’t have kids it would be worse .I saw this earlier maybe another reason why they’re extending it 🙁

Anyone doing anything exciting today?

Thought I'd do a spot of housework, read the paper, tax myself with a couple of crosswords, watch some TV, then order a takeaway and open a bottle of wine. Just living it up. Hey ho.

My girls are going to their dad's for the day so I'm going to catch up on housework and enjoy the peace 😅

A ya’know, not much. Entertaining my sprogs in the house and one walk which we will save until this arvo.

Much of the same! House looks like a crack den so I should give it a spruce up 🤣 then probably watch some tv, and cook a nice dinner. And join you with a wine!

Cleaning, maybe a movie with little ‘un and a walk if it’s not too rainy. A takeaway of some sort too I think to make it feel more like a weekend. I think we’re forecast some snow here this weekend too so that might be nice to muck around in the garden with. A news free weekend though I think. I’ll get my news from here 👍🏻

Going for a local walk with a friend, maybe even go wild and get a takeaway coffee and try not to get arrested 😂

We’ve both messaged each other and said how excited we are for this socialising 🤦‍♀️

Pretty much the same as this but swap the crosswords with playing Nintendo switch 😂
