This van dam character unnerves me - something about him isn’t right.
Do as I say, not as I do and all that. Nothing surprises me anymore with this lot.
What's happened to coughs and colds, flu etc? have all these been eliminated now and its just Covid?
If Covid was as bad as they’re making out he wouldn’t have done that.
At risk people also have agency and a say in whether they wished to mix at Christmas, it’s their risk to take at the end of the day given it was permitted.
Do you actually know anyone/have you actually heard of anyone who mixed on Christmas, made their relative ill, their relative is now dying and they are blaming themselves or are you just making up this narrative for the drama?
Probably the latter.
I made a thread asking simaler. I cant remember the last time anyone in our house had a proper cold!

Its totally mad, theres usually thousands dying of flu every year in UK hospitals and now theres non.
Because of how hygienic everyone is being and social distancing and staying home, I think there is less chance of catching a cold or flu.
I think theres some lying going on somewhere down the line personally. I don't trust the U.K Government to be totally honest.

I don't know anyone personally but record deaths, record cases and record numbers in hospital a few weeks after Christmas day you don't need to be Einstein to see the link.
Yep cos it's just the UK that has COVID
We had one in September when my sister brought it from school (we were in the childcare bubble with my parents at the time). Friday she same back home. Saturday woke up with a runny nose, headache etc, Sunday we babysat her, Monday me and partner woke up with runny noses, headaches, etc, Tuesday in-laws (we live with them because of renovation) wake up with runny noses. We didn’t get tested, because we had none of the three Covid symptoms, plus we all got it within one day and we all were right as rain in a couple of days. We still isolated, just in case.
My colleague has had two colds since September. Both times COVID negative. No one else caught it.
Or the colds and flus are being recorded as Covid to boost the numbers and increase the fear factor
I don't know anyone that's had flu or cold symptoms this autumn and winter period. I guess it helps not being allowed to go anywhere.
Does anyone know where the carer of an extremely vulnerable adult stands regarding work and vaccine?
My husband is considered extremely vulnerable, I'm not his official carer, in the sense I don't get paid, but I am. I would like to be furloughed or WFH, but apparently not an option this time (I WFH in lockdown 1).
Will I get any priority for vaccine? Am guessing not.
