My friend who works in a covid ward is booked for her vaccine Monday which is great! She said the cases in our local hospital have trippled in a matter of weeks and they have 1 ventilator left. Its absolutely terrifying because its not just covid patients who need ventilators so something which may not have killed you possibly could now, or doctors are going to have to decide who gets the ventilator and who doesn't.

Yep. Let's hope none of us get in a car accident, have a heart attack, stroke, women don't hemorrhage while in labour, etc.

Canadian numbers are horrific again today. Ontario has over 4,000 new cases... they've been in a lockdown for weeks now yet it is increasing so much. Quebec has close to 3,000 new cases and are now in a strict curfew (like the UK lockdown).

I bought some creme eggs from the Coop the other day. Also went in for milk 😂 the bloke serving me said, “Creme eggs? It’s only January”. Alright mate, just scan my chocolate and I’ll be on my way 🙄

Got home and they were TINY. Why bother making small ones?

I can't believe were chatting about Easter Eggs. This week has had so much happen. Its hard to believe Christmas was only 2 weeks ago.

I too have caved and treated myself to delicious Easter based treats, ignoring that I have plenty of Christmas chocolate at home. Nothing compares to a yummy little Easter egg 😍

100% this you said it better than I could.

I have 2 kids in different years who are still at an age where they need me supervising and helping, their timetables sent from the school contradict each other. Video classes at the same time when we don’t have enough devices or space for them to not be a distraction to each other and things like that. At the moment I’m doing their home learning one at a time rather than trying to do 2 different lots of English and maths at the same time. My partners at work so I’m on my own most of the day and this is the only way I can do it without cracking up. I know schools are just doing what they’ve been told and I appreciate the pressure they are under and the amazing work they’ve done, but I’m disregarding their time tables and doing the work set at our own pace. It’s just not a realistic expectation and there will be stress that way. Today one of my kids didn’t get their work done and submitted till nearly 5pm. It’s just how it’s going to be some days because there’s other things besides education that need to be done in the home that also take up a fair bit of my day🤷🏻‍♀️

People have killed their relatives mixing over Christmas.
This is going to be much worse than the first wave.

There was a doctor on the news and he said you might think you ain’t breaking the rules by having a sly visit to your friends as it doesn’t effect anyone else but every time you do it , you are denying a cancer patient their surgery

She still needs to be careful even after the two doses of the vaccine as you can still get it , it just reduces the severity of the illness

Oh yes we know! Just takes the sorry off slightly as we know if she got it now she probably wouldn’t survive it. Any layer of protection is a god send really!

Christmas happened, people were allowed to mix within the rules.

Lots of people will also have met up and not had the virus and had a lovely time within the restrictions and don’t need to be made to feel bad when they have done nothing wrong.

But if the people currently dying spent Christmas Day with their family for the first time in months just because Boris the idiot said they could, then people are going to wonder if they are to blame for a dead loved one.

I don't think that would be the case .I'm sure the dying /dead person would've had a say if they wanted to be there or not it's a virus it can be caught from anything .

People would have done it no matter what Boris said. My Grandparents spent Christmas with one of their sons and his family and it has lifted their spirits no end after having nobody round since February. Some people see it as a risk worth taking.
