I had a cold in November. Regardless, colds and flus will be reduced by the same measures in place to attempt to reduce Covid cases.
The PCR test cannot test for flu or cold so I don't really know what this comment is getting at. If people are testing positive for Covid that is what they have.

Here, people getting flu shots were record numbers. They are always offered to anyone and I got it for the first time in 2020. I have to say though, I used to be really sickly in the UK, I think it was due to the dampness mostly. In Canada, I don't really get sick, out of all my years living here, probably only twice where I have had a bad cold. Where I am now is a very dry climate, so instead, I get to deal with permanently dry skin. Love going to the UK as my skin enjoys the moisture from the humidity, lol. Pros and cons to both

Ah how i would love to share your ignorance. My Dad was admitted to hospital 7th April with Covid. He's still not home 9 months later and unlikely to ever return to being able to live a normal life.

I don't have any kiďs so home schooling doesn't affect me but I feel your pain thanks to home working!!!
It's just me and mum in a 2 bed flat. It did my head in at the start of lockdown with the empty nesters boasting they were turning their dining rooms into offices!!! I've got a wee table that i use.
But the worst is the zoom meetings
it was fine in the summer - I sat on the balconey but since winter has kicked in, I've been struggling. And of course, I've got one big mouth colleague who said she could hear my tv in the background when I was in my living room, so I moved to my bedroom - sat with my door as a back ground and she said I looked liked my mum had shut me in a cupboard!!!
Between COVID, Brexit and the carry on in America, i feel like life as i knew it is over!!!
On better news, my 84yr old mum is getting her vaccine on Thursday

I am sorry to hear about your dad. Covid is real and does unfortunately kill people and make others ill but not to the levels portrayed in the media.
