I’ve decided I’d rather take my chances in B&M with the huns if it means I don’t have to get judged for what I put in my basket in the supermarket!
Picked up my washing stuff earlier from B&M and also got some 1001 for my carpet that I didn’t *technically* need. And pop tarts.

I’m basically a hardened criminal now 😎 worried Boris might have me arrested tbh.

Don’t want to offend anyone but teachers are now on holiday but getting full pay? 😐 whaaaaaaat.

(not all obviously!)
I’m a teacher and 100% agree. Some schools are providing daily zoom or google classroom lessons which is fantastic but those schools sending home worksheets are a complete joke. They should all be providing online lessons as per their timetable. Private schools have been doing this since the first lockdown. The class divide will be huge and it’s so unfair on the children.

I bet they still won't be stopping people travelling in and out of the country though. Or testing and quarantining people coming into the country!

Dear 2021, I’d like a refund.

I’ve been walking 2-3 times a day, 8-9 miles a day for weeks. I know it’s such a minor thing compared to most people’s problems but not sure how ill cope with not being allowed out more than once a day
The thing is.... just do your two walks. Assuming you’re careful and on your own away from crowds, it’s a silly rule to abide by if you feel like it’ll affect your mental health that much. Go for two walks. Nobody is counting. Absolutely nobody is catching this on a quiet lonesome walk in the outdoors away from other people... I’m all for abiding by the rules that keep us safe but honestly if I need two walks a day I’ll be having them.

I can’t understand why people want nurseries closed to be totally honest!
My 18 month old has gone weekly since July and there’s been absolutely no issues with covid at all. The staff are happy for the toddlers to be there as they know how vital it is for their socialisation and every aspect of development.
The early years are so vital and with no play groups, classes, soft play or anything for them to do it’s going to be detrimental to their development and will have long term consequences.
Moaning about snot in a nursery is like moaning about crumbs in a restaurant.
Children average 8 colds a year and they actually need them in order to build immunity, in order todo this they need to exposed to other kids and get fresh air everyday!!
We need a generation of strong, confident and resilient kids...not to be scared, isolated and under developed.
I also get really upset when I think of those children who live with parents who will just dump them in front of a tv all day. That’s why the government gives free nursery hours- because it’s vital!

We are still in a much better position then we were a year ago though. We have three vaccines, better treatment and better understanding of the condition. Don't lose sight of that.

My brothers been taken to hospital by ambulance this afternoon after collapsing and struggling to breathe. He’s called me so he’s doing ok, he’s waiting for a chest x ray and results from blood tests but he said he’s been told he could have covid but needs to book a test 😟 are they not able to test in hospital? That seems mad to me. As he was taken by ambulance he doesn’t have his car so someone will need to pick him up but what if he’s got covid? He’s asked me to go online and book the test but not really sure how to go about it when I dont know when he’ll be discharged or be able to get to his car 😕

Our key worker/vulnerable applications are running at about 50% of school for next week. I think we are going to get clarification as to rules about maximum number we can have. 95% of staff are in school.

Last year we got criticised for not sending enough work home. This year we organised a full platform, online lessons and a time table and we are being criticised for sending too much.

WTF do people actually want for primary schools? It’s exhausting trying to keep everyone happy.

Honestly, what are we living for now? Absolutely nothing!

I live alone, seeing my friends and going to the pub to socialize is the only thing that gets me through, there's really no hope. We have nothing to look forward, I really feel like we're living in a simulation. This is no life is it!

A big 🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻 from boris to retail workers !! A teacher with a class of 20 children is at higher risk (no disrespect to any teachers) ? But retail staff have to work with a shop open all day and night people not wearing masks and just get on with it because clearly we are immune 🤬 keep supermarkets open 8am-8pm! That’s 12hrs in a day people have to shop...
Do retail workers not have the choice/option to wear PPE though? And their employers should be restricting numbers of people visiting the shops at any given time. Can also request/enforce mask wearing (exemptions aside obviously) etc. Appreciate this often doesn’t happen where it should. Definitely in supermarkets where I live some staff wear masks/visors/gloves etc and others choose not to.

Teachers are not allowed to wear PPE. Think about that: a highly at risk group are not allowed to take basic measures to keep themselves and their families safe. Astounding when you think about it. I’m not a teacher, just someone offering them a bit support. Teachers really are being thrown under the bus 😳

I hope Sturgeon follows through on her thoughts of offering teachers vaccine as a priority group.
