Hearing about places on this list which could go into lockdown because of high % in cases. Some have gone from 0 to 3 cases in the whole town in a fortnight so considered a 300% increase. Absolutely ridiculous and another way of scaremongering by the media.
We are on the list second behind Leicester because we have had 0 deaths in 9 days and 1 case in 2.5 weeks

Barnsley have asked people to be more careful and vigilant as there's been an rise in cases...according to news reports..

What time do the realise the daily deaths?

That sounds so morbid. I'm guessing 150.

Yikes. The numbers have been a bit iffy recently when you compare one week to the next, but that’s a big jump for positive figures. Then there’s the death number rise.

I never understand why they release a lower number first? It says “57” in hospitals - so that means the other 119 died... at home? Or does it mean they died from something sudden like a stroke or heart attack and were then tested postmortem? Or is that 119 all in care homes who had requested no treatment/admission in their wishes?

Definitely not going to a pub this weekend. The only thing we are thinking of doing is in a few weeks going to our local pub (we live quite rurally) for a meal to support the owners as we get on really well with them. But that is really just more to offer support than that we feel desperate to do it

The rest are outside hospital either at home or care homes but all will have a positive covid test

Last Wednesday seemed to be particularly low, if you look at this. So that's why there seems to be such a jump this week.
