Also feel for those poor horses, protest all you want but don't throw bleeping bottles and other crap at the horses. Regardless of wether they are trained to be in those circumstances, they don't raise a hoof and ask to trot on in to those situations. Disgusts me beyond belief 😤

unfortunately there's always some who ruin it for others.

99.99% of the protestors there will be 100% against that and unfortunately people like that ruin it and then everyone gets tarnished with the same brush. It's exactly what happened in America, despite 99% of protests and protestors being peaceful, and it will happen here.

Also, there are so people out there that are there to goad for a reaction from the police and put it on Instagram, and so many who are there to cause destruction.
they’re the ones I have an issue with.
They’re not there to protest for tit. They’re there to loot Chanel and Zara.

anyway at this point, if there is a rise in corona cases who knows why.
let’s blame ikea and Cummings, 🤷‍♀️

I see your point, but viruses don’t care about the reasons why you are in close contact. Either way, it is endangering health and lives, and many more people will die in the coming weeks as a result, and unfortunately we know that many of them will be BAME.

I seriously just don’t think the protests are anywhere near in the same league as having parties or meeting friends and family during the strictest part of the lockdown. Endangering people during a pandemic because you just want to socialise vs making a stand against systemic wide spread racism are two totally different things.

Or the people on the beaches, or VE day or all the other tit people spout on about. bleeping joke of a country. Never has the saying 'stop the world i want to get off' felt more appropriate.

He's obviously mentally ill why is he still at the helm..Where are his doctors ffs
The problem with the US is that the rich can basically pay their doctors to do what they want them to do and prescribe what they want. They have one of the highest healthcare spending per capita in the world due to the worried well demanding medications. If Trump wants his doctor to say he hadn't got dementia he will say it or be sacked and replaced by someone who will.

Trust me, those masks will be next to useless. As will the gloves. The virus is small enough to pass through fabric and surgical masks. Wearing a mask doesn’t mean you can crowd together with several thousand people and hope you’ll be ok. Those masks are the same mask that doctors and nurses have been saying for weeks are woefully inadequate at protecting us.

Most people at the protests here are wearing masks, if they keep that up hopefully it will be ok.

Yep. There were rumours that his doctors lied on his health check when he first became president.

Or the 50+ people today I walked past while shopping who were really up in my space the whole time. No attempt of social distancing made by anyone at all. It felt like a normal shopping trip. Even the staff on the doors were letting people in at least 5 at a time. She told me to go in despite the first aisle being full to brim and I said i'd wait as there's no way I can distance and she gave me an eye roll and the bloke behind me was huffing. Everyone has given up at this point, it seems.

That is too bad. Here (Canada) the stores are still very strict. At Homesense the other day I had to queue to get in, the woman monitoring the queue was wearing a mask and face shield and she had a beeper that counted how many people went in. Only one door was open and only a few people allowed in at a time and you had to use hand sanitizer. I would say half of the people were wearing masks too.
The grocery stores are the same too, still heavily monitored.

Unless people are sneezing/coughing/spitting on one another, they could be fine. Studies show that outside it is less likely to spread and the droplets quickly drop to the ground. Here we are allowed groups of up to 50 outside, socially distanced, and they are even encouraging outdoor exercise classes.
I mean, medical staff here for the most part have been unaffected. I did see photos of the UK PPE though and it looked not very good compared to what they're given here so I don't know if it is a difference in quality. I guess in 2 weeks we will know. Right now our new daily cases is around 7-10.

They're supposed to be strict here. At least I think so. I was shocked to be honest. I went to a different store to usual so I'm hoping it was just there and it's not like that at my usual store but it was absolutely shocking. Nobody gave a tit! Tried to keep my kids close and put my youngest in the shopping trolley even though he hates it and screamed half the time, then people just kept getting really close anyway. Few times we'd be stood looking at something and someone would reach right over me and my kids. Is it that hard just to wait 2 minutes?

I would have told them to move! Hahah.

It passes through the eye's you just have to touch your eye to catch it..you need full PPE visors etc to stand a chance

I think the police don't care if it is filmed as they think they can get away with it. I am sure they get a thrill from doing it.
I think that's exactly it. The attack took 10 minutes. People were pleading with him to get off him. A paramedic begged to be allowed to treat him. It wasnt a rush of blood to the head. He got a kick out of it. I think the protesters do unfortunately have to protest. Especially during Corona, as it really highlights also the disproportionate effect Citona is having on the BAME community and the reliance we have on BAME communities in the NHS and low paid jobs. They are outside and the ones I saw had masks on. I thought there would be a huge rise after VE day but there wasnt. That was at the height of the pandemic and the government encouraged it!

The chances of getting it from something you touch are so minimal. So unless someone coughs on your hand and then you touch your eye/or they cough into your eye, it is unlikely. You have to make a real conscious effort to not touch your face when out and about. My partner goes grocery shopping every 2 weeks and is out for 8 hours at a time because of the queuing system... he wears a mask, and is around plenty of people and so far (touch wood) hasn't got ill. I really don't think it is as contagious as they thought it was in terms of getting it from touching items because otherwise, everyone at the supermarket would get it from touching food, etc. I mean, there have been supermarket staff who have got covid it hasn't caused an outbreak so...

the fact that BAME people are the ones more at risk, yet they're out there protesting, speaks volumes to me about the need for them.
My cousin is BAME and he says he’s far more terrified of ‘normal’ things like going on a night out, a spot check by the police or even starting a new job than he is covid. He’s faced racism and derogatory remarks his whole life, he just wants to be seen as an equal. It breaks my heart because he has the kindest soul, he’s intelligent, has a masters degree yet all anybody ever judges him off is the colour of his skin, not the person he is. It’s wrong, just so so wrong.

Isn’t it crazy! They won’t open the Zoo but Love Island has the go ahead
To be fair Australia are fairing a lot better than the UK for Covid.

My friend posted a loved up boozy video of himself in the pub for the first time today in Australia. Where he lives are doing so well and have had about 4 weeks now of no new deaths, no new cases and everyone recovered.

They've followed the release from lockdown strictly and are now reaping the results.
