Absoutely fuming, we went out to do the nhs clap as weve done every week. The neighbours across the road saw us from their kitchen and closed the blinds!
Theyve not come out once, theyre not elderly either so dont have that as an excuse!
Idk, maybe they just don’t like you?

Yes but were you clapping or banging saucepans?

Bet thats a massive weight off your mind xx
may be shops pick whos nearest them to contact ...
my Dad lives in a small village in Devon..no Tesco for miles but Waitrose their nearest supermarket have contacted them as theyve identified him and my step mum as vulnerable. theyve already done a shop.and had it delivered.
Although their shops are no where near as manic as London its actually a massive relief for me as my Dad had cancer last year and is in remission and my step mum has some health issues that they no longer need no longer need to put themselves at risk going out.

I live on a small road with like 9 houses. Only one couple clapped. I was peaking outside to see if I should go as well but I don't particularly like that couple so I thought I'd stay inside! Granted I do live on a street with like 60% over 70's so I doubt they are bothering to get up and out for it.
Around the back though, it's madness! They've got cheers, clanging, fireworks etc. I wish I was part of that atmosphere. My 20 something ass needed something lively

Why you bothered if they haven’t come out once?
You do you

I have an announcement to make.....I no longer have a crush on Matt Hancock. The pay rise for MP's despite all that is going on put me right off him! Told you my crush wouldn't last long

A few people are concerned about posts like this. Remember “my sisters best friends dog” and similar “insiders“ should be treated as fiction/gossip until confirmed. 😊 - Please read our rules and why they're important
So just been speaking to my best friend. She attends cobra level "bronze" shes an area manager for our local city council (adult care).
Hospitals are sending covid patients back to care homes (still infected), health care assistants are signing death certificates, no one (even if they DO NOT have a dnr) is being recusitated and bodies are literally being dumped in rooms due to private ambulances being run.
I've put this on here because I know its 100% true and anonymous.
God knows what else they are talking about at "silver level" I'm assuming "gold" is head government.
Again this is our local city council and death tolls arent that high yet. Death statistics are no way near accurate because their are bodies left in rooms for days.

Health care assistants cannot sign death certificates , they may be able to document the time etc but nothing more official.

Hi, I also have autoimmune diseases and take chemotherapy medication but not had a letter, having said that I’ve shielded for 3.5 weeks just in case, getting a cold makes me so ill so I don’t want to risk anything!! I’m glad you are sorted with deliveries now! x

I can't take stuff like this seriously at all.
As much as you say it's 100% true, it's another case of my friends, aunty's, best friends dog.

Saying stuff like 'bodies are being left in rooms for days' are what causes sheer panic and anxiety among people.
Nowhere in the country is in that state yet.

I doubt the vast majority of this is true, particularly healthcare assistants signing death certificates and the claim that no none is being resuscitated.

They always talk to us, funnily enough though noone on our side of the road likes them as they like to do what they can to make us uncomfortable, including getting drunk in their front garden and stripping .

Maybe it shouldn't have bothered me but I just find it disrespectful.

What’s disrespectful about it?

I think the DNR bit is true ! I've heard them say they don't take the care home residents to hospital they be made comfortable where they are, but I wouldn't say the bodies being left to pile up is true..
