I've not posted on this thread before but the booster stuff crosses the line for me. I'm in my 20s, why the f*ck do I need a booster jab? How many more am I expected to get? And how much am I just expected to put into my body when I'm still young and we don't know the long term effects?
I had the two jabs in the summer just to be covered with the impression that we were going back to normal and that the booster was just a 'top up' to protect vulnerable age groups like my grandparents. So why should I take it?

I need them to just admit we're in lockdown. This refusal to say it is bothering me more than anything.

I had no problem getting the first two vaccines. A bit panicky about side effects but ultimately I was fine with it.

It's the "jabs in arms" that I've found very strange wording.
That tag line sounds sinister to me, and like propaganda war effort.
How many more bleeping jabs do we need? I'm healthy (okay could do with losing some weight and smoke but no underlying health conditions!) and just under 30. I had my two jabs to travel and I've had covid (pre jabs).
It's like with the initial vaccines for younger people - have it and life will be normal! So is this us on an infinite cycle?

I'm in a couple of higher risk groups for Covid but I'm so sick of this absolute damn hysteria in this country. I was listening to a podcast earlier today about Smallpox being eradicated. During the eradication efforts it was infecting 10-15 million a year with a 25% death rate and many who survived became blind.
I can't imagine how our society would begin to cope with a virus like that these days! It was an interesting episode though:

More people would probably be willing to have a full course of immunisations however many that may be , if we could be reassured that it would make any difference and we would be in a better position because of it .
I will categorically not be cancelling any of my plans to see people this December. They cannot possibly expect to destroy another Christmas.

Had my 2 jabs, they can duck off with the booster. Christmas is going ahead as planned regardless of what the rules are that week.

It's turning my stomach that healthy people en masse are being strong armed/threatened into endlessly injecting themselves without question,on the off chance of a tiny risk oF covid complications.
Meanwhile it's that dangerous out there that our elderly wannabe King has just completed a tour of the middle East and is now in Barbados.
But we can't have a Xmas party.
It's turning my stomach that healthy people en masse are being strong armed/threatened into endlessly injecting themselves without question,on the off chance of a tiny risk oF covid complications.
