I've just been invited to a family pre Christmas party on the 18th. There's absolutely no way that I'm not going. Been with family IS necessary socialising for me.

I work in a big high street retail store..... We serve thousands of customers a day.... Our bosses have now made us social distance in all areas behind house (staff areas, canteen locker rooms, staff lifts etc) to keep us all safe🙄..... Yet the thousand of customers who come in the store daily don't need to keep their distance from us.

Asked the store manager if he will be limiting the amount of customers in the store at any given time... he said no as there are no guidelines on social distancing from the government...... 🤔😏Yet he is making us all social distance from each other in all staff areas, yet on store floor its free for all.

It doesn't make sense. He even advice us to be careful who we mix with outside our household... Fuck off.. What I do outside of work is nothing to do with my bosses
I for one think we should just go back to normal, I don't wear a mask, I'm not vaccinated, I've had covid and was fine.... I'm living my life the way the elite and MPs are.... freely without restrictions.

I work in a supermarket and worked yesterday evening. I didn't wear a mask and most of the staff didn't wear a mask I would say only elderly people who are shopping wore one. I think it should be a choice if you want to wear one wear one if you don't don't same with the jab.
Covid is no where near contagious as they have made out. My son had it and no one in the house caught it. My oldest daughter had my youngest 2 go stay with her in the school holidays My daughter caught covid my younger 2 didn't catch it even though one of them slept in her bed!

I will categorically not be cancelling any of my plans to see people this December. They cannot possibly expect to destroy another Christmas.

Went to the supermarket today and even some of the staff weren’t wearing a mask. Also saw thousands of people attending football matches this weekend, no distancing no masks. Yet apparently it’s ‘compulsory’ in shops and at school pick up according to the school head teacher🙄. Make it make sense. It should be all or nothing, it’s nothing short of performative. Wear a mask to the shop but you can visit various other busy places without one. You don’t have to be a conspiracy theorist to see that it doesn’t make sense.

My children won’t be having the covid vaccine. They are fully vaccinated including for flu but I won’t be letting them have the covid vaccine as I don’t see the need for it and don’t feel comfortable with them having it. Majority of kids are fine with it, yes poorly for a while but sometimes humans get a bit ill, it’s nothing new.

I’ve not kept up with the news as it’s bloody depressing but I can’t stand the thought of living like this for 5 years, having regular booster shots… no thanks. It’s not our problem that the government can’t fund the nhs properly to make it so they can cope with extra patients. They pulled all that money out of their arses for furlough and to buy all these vaccines yet can’t find the money to increase hospital capacity and encourage more people to take up medicine and nursing as a career? Which would ultimately benefit society as a whole long term. It’s a fucking joke. It’s not our job to ‘save the nhs’.

The G7 summit was the last straw for me with the government and their lies, these are the leaders who have the real data on the virus, have the real numbers of deaths... Not the media numbers of dying within 28 days of testing positive with covid... And they all stood with their masks on for the photos, then removed them to have a big piss up and a BBQ all close and patting each other on the backs living life, so that was when I decided to do as they do not as they say.
I'm in Canada

We have some of the strictest rules in the world . We have vaccine passports and a mask mandate .

Yet our Prime Minister Trudeau at COP26 was pictured maskless in crowds with no social distancing in bars and restaurants living it up.

As of yesterday the unvaccinated aren't allowed on trains, planes or boats. They can't travel domestically or internationally.

Effectively non vaccinated Canadians can't leave the country.

There is no option to show a negative test or proof of recovery, No vaccine no travel.

I just can't believe this is happening for the second year in a row. How did they let this happen AGAIN.

I stand by my belief they are laughing at us. They must be loving every single second.

Amen.

"Protect the NHS" is one of the biggest nonsenses to come out of this whole fiasco.
don’t care how bad this sounds, nhs staff are coming across as condescending self important idiots.
If I see one more photo in PPE, or one more post moaning about everything they do while scolding the naughty public, clap for the NHS was ridiculous, I can’t believe how many went along with it, and they’d probably worked just as long in supermarkets taking abuse from the public daily.
I’m sick of seeing “I work 28 hour days for the nhs and YOU lot….” in posts….

I’m starting to hate any NHS posts at this point. 😐

I'm in my 3rd trimester of pregnancy and have caught Covid. I'm still suffering from symptoms now, coughing, aches, chills, blocked nose and loss of taste and smell. I tested positive last Thursday, I felt a bit weak on Tuesday but no other symptoms so was at the gym. I felt better on Fri & Sat, but worse again yesterday and today. I would say for me, it's worse than a cold, but not as bad as flu. I'm still up and about, working from home just napping as I need. I never get ill and look after myself so it has wiped me.

Having said this, at no point during this have I wished I was vaccinated, I still stand by my decision and am grateful now I will have natural immunity.
My Husband is also unvaxxed and has had no symptoms.

I just read James Melville saying it has been 88 weeks to flatten the curve. I wonder if on Day 1 when it was 2 weeks to flatten the curve, would people have fallen into line so willingly if they knew 88 weeks later we'd still be flattening that curve?

The curve is now a circle.

Does the government think the whole of the UK work in offices..... They are so concerned about the spread of this new variant that they want people to work from home if you can...... Most of us can't fool, I work on a high street in a very busy retail store, mingling amongst thousands and thousands of customers a day.... Am I meant to bring them home and serve them(sounds wrong 😂🤣)
Don't get me wrong I'm not scared of covid or this new variant, I had covid in April was fine, I'm unvaccinated, don't wear a mask and like I already mentioned work amongst many people. This WFH is pointless..... What if a person works in a office so now has to work from home but their partner works in construction or retail and mingles with many then goes home to their partner.... That person WFH has just been exposed to everything their partner was exposed to that day also..... Totally pointless.

Vaccinated and boosted, work for the NHS, been on multiple holidays, to festivals, to unventilated club nights throughout this year, had multiple house parties from June last year. Only wear a mask when entering my trust's building and walking to my office. I'm in broom cupboard sized offices with no windows, with up to 5 clinicians (nurses, matrons, consultants) and no-one wears a mask, drinks and snacks are shared. Masks are only ever on when walking where a patient could see you, soon as you're in staff only it's like it's 2019. I don't wear a mask outside of work either, and the shops over the road from my work there's clinical staff in uniform in and out of them without their masks on either.

I'm early 30s, exercise every day at least 60 minutes every day, slightly overweight according to the BMI scale but quite a lot of muscle, cook from scratch, don't like fruit so don't have any, try to have as many veggies as possible. Last time I was sick was Jan 2018 where I had the flu and literally couldn't get out of bed for three weeks. Most horrendous time of my life! Lost a stone though but soon put that back on 😂

I know of about 7 or 8 people who've had covid - various stages of the pandemic, various ages, various health backgrounds, various vaccination stances, no one had more than a sniffle, loss of taste and some body aches for a couple of days. I know that's anecdotal and my "social situation" could play a part in that? Like I'm not from a deprived area, everyone I know is sort of similar to me in the case of food options, exercise etc.

Aware my vaccination status is at odds with how I behave, I hate all the "get jabbed so granny doesn't die", "do your civic duty" shit, like I'm looking out for me, and me alone - and I couldn't be trapped in this country so I got mine so I could go away.

I don't want kids so the whole fertility side effect thing doesn't bother me. If it took away my fertility that would be an excellent side effect for me!

Each to their own with what they want to do or not do with their own bodies, doesn't effect me. You do you boo! Someone having or not having the vaccine doesn't even enter my thoughts to form an opinion on someone.

I actually hate how this whole thing has made it perfectly normal to grill someone about their personal medical choices. "Are you vaccinated?" "Against what Jan, TB, measles, cervix cancer? Would you like me to pull up my GP notes so you can peruse them at your leisure?"

However reading some threads on here, and looking at sources outside of the MSM has been very interesting and heightening the questions I was already starting to ask. Always convenient how a new bit of covid drama pops up when there's bigger news stories brewing.

Health care workers angry at the unvaccinated because they have to work…

let me introduce you to my little, sorry extremely overweight friend who spouts bullshit about who’s the “problem” while stuffing their face and gaining an extra 3 stone over lockdown.

The term “NHS workers” is really starting to irritate, not all of them, just the ones who think they all deserve medals for “what they’ve done” over the pandemic,
Work, like millions of others,
Personally feel sorry for care home staff over NHS staff.
Amen.

"Protect the NHS" is one of the biggest nonsenses to come out of this whole fiasco.

I hate to sound all conspiracy on this … but is it any coincidence that all we are hearing about now is this AWFUL new variant that so far has only had mild symptoms, and then a similar call to get boosters?? Certainly seems like it’s playing into someone’s hands.
I work in neuro theatre and have done for the last 5 years and trust me when I say as an NHS worker do not get the vaccine!. Just wait, I work alongside the countrys leading neuro doctors and have been told by extremely intelligent knowledgeable people to avoid it as much as possible and to advise family the same. The virus is only going to keep spreading regardless of vaccines there are far to many variants to vaccine against everyone without being a walking labrat anyway! Probably will get a lot of hate for this but if everyone in healthcare actually spoke the truth and defended our rights we would not be so naive to vaccinate our children.

Just popped into my first shop since the changes were announced and I was not wearing a mask, the member of staff wasn’t wearing one and neither were the other customers. I know it’s my first visit but it’s a very different vibe to last time!

Ok my stance on it, Covid scaring has given me the worst kind of anxiety I've ever seen in my life 😢 I had my one Astra Zeneca jab and become very unwell back in March where I went to hospital with a suspected blood clot! I didn't have one but was the sickest I've ever been for 10 days. It scared the life out of me so much so I haven't had my second now I'm so worried again already had a panic attack in the past hour
