As you say, it'll be like the other life changing medical issues, it'll just disappear.IMO, they've made a big mistake, giving Sam a schizophrenia diagnosis. One of my neighbours had it and he was often very unwell, it really blighted his whole life. It's not one of those conditions that just goes away, although I know that many sufferers do manage to lead a normal life. But the meds can be unpleasant, the condition often means that lots of support is needed, especially in the first few years of treatment.
Of course, Sam might be lucky and have absolutely no ongoing issues after his life-changing diagnosis. Just like with Summer and her diabetes (see also; Kerry in Emmerdale), Jack with his amputated foot, and both Tracy and Carla with their kidney transplants

I don't think they thought of the ongoing consequences of his diagnosis. So they'll discover they've got it wrong, and Sam will be bipolar, on the spectrum, or ptsd. Or conveniently forgotten about.

I think Asha has. She also made herself ill so she had to go to hospital when she was in prison but now she's out she can drink wine like it's going out of fashion
Leanne would probably be better at being a solicitor than Adam and Alya. She's got about the same qualifications as Alya at least.
